Review of Tin Drum

Very Hove!
This bar comes highly recommended by all my friends, however whenever I have been here I've always found it a little too busy. (must be my age) The bar is quite small so it can take an age getting served and there's not alot of seating. However, I have always been here on a busy weekend night, so perhaps this place needs to be for daytimes and weeknights. There is a nice seated area outside, which would be good for a sunny day. Worth a try!

Review of The Farm

Funny Farm
This place used to be known as Friday Street Farm and was pretty average. It's undergone a revamp and is now.....pretty average. The actual restaurant is really nice, lovely and welcoming. However, the menu is limited and the portions are on the small side. I went quite soon after the refurb and the service was appalling. The waitress was too scared to approach us, she forgot basic things like cutlery and the drinks were all wrong. Not a great experience but it may have improved since.

Review of Horse & Groom Harvester

Even though it's a chain!
This is popular choice when I'm visiting family. The food is what you'd expect from a Harvester but I'd say the salad card is propbably one of the better ones. The staff here have a great, friendly attitude and tht adds to a pleasant meal. There's a massive garden area out the front (a little noisy due to traffic) but if the sun is shining it's a good place to while away a few hours.

Not such a great experience...
...I used to quite like this place as a cheap and cheerful way to get a great Sunday Roast. However, the last few times I have been faced with over an hour long wait, faced with screaming children and grumpy old ladies. I recommend, if you go on a Sunday, take your earplugs!

Review of Fiesta Bistro

Good Location
This place is really central if you're shopping in town and fancy a quick coffee, there's a nice seating area outside with good shelter if it's raining. It's a great place to sit and watch the world go by. Have been to a Christmas party there, which despite my low expectations, was quite good. The food was all reasonable and, despite the staff being rushed off their feet, they remained smiley and happy. A good all rounder.
