Choose your own meat 
This is a great concept with you choosing your meat, from the weird kangeroo to a great steak. And its cooked all infront of you by great chefs. I did find the food wasnt as great after it changed hands, but its still serving good food with decent service and its a nice venue in good grounds. The posh like it too.

Even better in the summer 
This place is a great little oldy worldy pub, good for families and often have weekend events on. The garden is the selling point, with lots of tables outside for when the summer actually gets here. The service is good and the food is delivered pretty quickly.

This is now Pin Petch and sooooo much nicer. Pin Petch is a Thai restaurant, that do great takeaways in less than 20 minutes for you to collect. All the food is amazing, but have to say the chicken green thai curry is a fav! make sure you scoop up the sauce with the prawn crackers.

Great chinese
They do great take aways, and usually its ready to collect in 15minutes. I wouldnt advise eating in unless you like the idea of eating in someone else's living room. But all the staff are absolutely lovely even if they dont speak too much English. Its my favourite, most recommended chinese place. A must order are the sweet n sour prawn balls.

Pub
This is great for watching the rugby and sport. Has many regulars and a tad spit and sawdust. Owners are lovely and put a real personal touch to the place, plus they often have live mic nights and quiz evenings which are really good. Plus they seem to support local charities alot and have usually got some activity going on. Its also got to be one of the cheapest pubs in Newport.

Music and Curry 
This is an amazing venue set in the theatre district and has a real atmosphere to it. Trouble is, its too loud, with their live acts which seem to appear most nights its pumping, which is great unless you want to go out for a nice meal and a conversation. Since the new menu I have been less impressed with the food too, which is a shame as this used to be a regular.

Good atmosphere for food
You'll spend over half an hour looking at the menu as you will want all of it. Pizza's are great, nice thin and crispy and the sausage meetballs with pasta is my absolute favourite. Very friendly staff with a personal touch.

fun with friends
Great menu and even better service. The posh fish finger sandwiches are ace. Nice seating too with it being mainly booths so you are not on top of other people.
Brownies are to die for too!
