Thankfully they aren't trying to cram a coffee shop into thtis place as well, so the queues are horrific as you wrestle with the lady buying a latte.

They just concentrate on chocolate and around easter will sign a person's name onto the egge in icing... and in handwriting that is much better than mine

The history of Swindon and the Great Western Railway that had it's works in the town

Look around the steam trains and get an idea of how they were built buy the people of the town.

A nice day out and an opportunity to ejoy trains, not get crammed on one during rush hour.

Good Afternoon Out

You can't go to swindon and not geta taste of why the town is as big as it is.

Swindon was built on the railway thanks to Brunel and this place tells the history of the place and how it came to grow

Great for an afternoon and you can take grandparents here who will tell you that this is how trains are supposed to be.

Review of The Arts Centre

Great Little Venue

Keep an eye out on this place as they often have some up and coming acts that won't justify playing at the Wyvern Theatre, but are still good.

It's a good little venue with a family feel to it, a bit like everyone is invested into making the arts centrea great place to be and not just a job.

THey have something for everyone, (some of it not for me) however you might find an up and coming comedian who is on the way to the big time

Much Better

Much much better since the refurb. I've seen some really good comedy gigs here as the bigger names come through (make a note Dom Joly)

It's comfortble now they've had the decorators in and not quite the uncomfortable pit that it once was.Well done Wyvern

Great Tea Room

As a tourist this place was great. I took my parents here and they loved it. A traditional tea room that is perfect for a cup of tea and a slice of cake

Definately worth a visit and when you're looking for a holiday tea room this place delivers what you're after. Well Done.

Mix

Poviding unrivalled travel and music. They also have the best view from a radio station ever.

If you ever get interviewed then you'll get great views of the harbour. if not, then it's worth a listen as they'll entertain you and get you home at the same time

Open after 7pm

I was working for a week in Torquay and if I hadn't found thid place I might have starved to death.

They are essentially a big off licence that does croissants. handy for picking up a few bits and pieces, if you're really hungry. They were one of the few places that were open after 7pm so for that I'm eternally grateful.

Handy for Lunch

Blindingly handy if you don't want to get into your car to go to the big Sainsburys.

A good range of Sandwiches and plenty of staff on th etills so you can get in and out very smoothly. They have lots of sandwiches as the offices spill out for lunch. It would just be a bit nicer if you didn't have to trip over kids bicycles that were left on the floor right outside the door. I was half tempted to nick one of them to teach them a lesson. I settled for resting it out of the way.
