Repaired the Irrepairable
I sent an ex girlfriend in here after an horrific haircut (I couldn't see the problem, but I'm a bloke so I didn't understand the fact that the world had ended)
The poeple in here were very good and helped her out and stopped the crying (thank goodness) and did a great reapir job. Well don Antoniou

Review of Long Reach Beefeater

Race Track Pub
A really handy pub that's well placed and your standard beefeater. However as it's stuck inbetween the main route to Canterbury on one side, the major A road to Thannet and that major A road's slip road, the beer garden is like having a drink in the middle of Silverstone.
However, it's the nearest beefeater for miles so if that's what you're after I suggest you drink inside!

Muso heaven
If you're looking for rare cds and vinyl then it's much better than it's counterpart, Woolworths, a few doors down.
Certainly somewhere to pass some time leafing through the cds. If you're looking for something specific, then just ask and they'll see if they've got it or tell you where to go and get it.
One of those record shops that you talk about but sometimes never visit which is a crying shame

Review of Tea & Times

Escapism
A staple favourite of Bubble residents. Rustique in feel, with an upstairs and a great place for breakfast.
Grab a paper and while away an hour in here as it really is a tranquil place to get away from Whitstable high street traffic.
Sadly as you leave you're thrown back out into the traffic and the peace of Tea And Times is gone

Good food
For somewhere so big, you'll probably be surprised by the unique stamp sized beer garden, but don't worry, all the action is inside.
When I say inside, I mean that they set this up as a gastro pub and the food was excellent and varied.
Open roaring fires are a treat in winter, especially when a north wind is whipping in off the sea

Boutiquey
A range of polo shirts and sailing gear for the Whitstable man.
A man's boutique for the trendy fashionable folk of the bubble. Deck shoes and captain's hats for everyone (i'm lying about the captain's hat, I think. I don't remember seeing any there)
Pricey clothes for what they are, you're mostly paying for the the shop's size and location. Items are available cheaper somewhere else only minus the name

Review of Williams & Brown Tapas
15 Apr 08, 13:44
Tapas
Small and cramped, but probably perfect for the pseudo-trendy inhabitants or visitors to "The Bubble"
try not to get sat at the bar as you end up having to try and have a conversation right in the middle of someone ordering, try and get a table.
Food is pleasant enough, not going to capture the essense of spain, but it's good enough.

Beer On The Beach
The ability to drink on the beach is a luxury not often afforded in England. I won't bore you with laws, but you can sit on the beach on a pub table with a cold pint in your hand as you watch the waves lap on the pebble shore. A spit and sawdust pub that gives you chance to take in a sunset with lager... perfect

Guten
Owned by a lovely German man, who stocks up on Bavarian sausages and brings them back for the residents of the Bubble.
Good for sport watching (however, I've only ever seen England lose in this pub) but the food is cheap and just what you want froma pub.

Review of Jelly Beanz

Brilliant
A technically gifted team of stylists run by Grant (who came across from Len's Barbers over the road)
Friendly staff, and finally a good up of tea when you go for a cut.
They're good at colours and all that kind of stuff, according to word of mouth. i wouldn't know, i only go for a haircut, but I've always enjoyed it.

Review of Len's Barber Shop
14 Apr 08, 17:48
Institution
Stock, standard barber shop, run by a man sporting a smashing moustache.
Friendly staff, available to help and a good level of staff. Len's is an institution in Whitstable and the high street would seem odd without it. If you need ladies styling then head (no pun intended) across the road to jellybeanz

Best of a Great Bunch
Tiny, Cramped, ricket, tumbledown and one of the best independent restaurants in the whole country. I've never had a bad meal here and always make a point of eating here, even though I no longer live in the area. The fish is immaculate and sourced locally. it has a french flair to the cooking, but isn't pretentious. Book early on the weekend as it's always busy.

Don't go as a group
Good food, friendly staff and a clean interior.... but and there's always a but. I've been quite a few times as a group and it hasn't been smooth running.
In a small group, it's always been good. For quality of food, I'd plump for the Invicta Tandor just down the road and on the left, but it's good for a post pub curry

Awesome food, just don't get there early
I'll have to admit that I've only ever been once. The food was great, however, I was tucked away in a corner under a slanting roof that gave me a crick in my neck and meant that I couldn't stand up without developing a curvature of the spine like Mr Burns from The Simpsons.
If you go... book early, ask for the terrace on a warm sunny day, watch the boats as you eat and wash it down with plenty of wine and it'll be one of the best eating experiences you'll ever have.

Best Curry in the bubble
I've burnt more cash in here than I care to imagine.
A small family business run by "Chef" who is always friendly and constantly asks me about a man called Tony who I only ever met once. I don't quite know what "Tony Hot" is, but I know that I don't want it.
Great currys and a cracking peshwari naan. Plus the aperitifs always manage to tip me over the edge. Plus they serve Bangla Beer which is the greatest curry beer on the planet.
