Review of Bond Street Underground Station

05 May 08, 11:52

Shops 4*

This are is expensive, so expensive that the tube station has shops in it. Where else do you get that. Half the tube stations rarely have staff, so shops was a massive novelty.

clean and spacious and not overly crowded (busy at peak times, but this is London) an actaully a pleasure to travel through.

Review of Green Park Underground Station

Trasnfer 4*

Mostly used for people transferring from the Victoria line to the Picadilly line, but rarely putting there head above the surface. I recently figured out that this was silly because Picadilly isn't that far away and certainly just as quick to walk it.

Never that busy as people don't really come to the surface here, so it was quite easy to make my way around.

Review of The Ritz Hotel

Stunning 5*

I took my parents here for an afternoon tea and yes it was everything that I could have imagined.

The fact that you have to be well dressed to enter, also adds to the atmosphere of the place. The decor where we sat was so enthralling, we actually forgot to speak to each other for a while.

It's everything I hoped it would be... the mix of Oscar Wilde's Importance Of Being Earnest with that dash of James Bond thrown in.

I can't rave about this enough. The tea cakes and sandwiches were stunning (although I had a sudded panic over how you're supposed to pronounce the word "Scone")

Stunning and I think the fact that it's expensive is necessary to give it the phenomenal sense of grandeur you get. I also walked out of the place thinking I was better than everyone else... (secretly I really enjoyed that bit as well)

Review of Gap

Nothing New 2*

If it’s your fist time in Gap store then you’ll be excited by the American college preppy look, however more than twice to this store and you’ll realise that it’s always the same.

Review of Burton Menswear

24 Apr 08, 17:26

Fashion 3*

Top Man is the main rival to burton, but there is room for them both to exist and burton does staple clothing very well. They aren’t as fashion conscious as River Island but replacement clothes are of good quality and you can do worse than stock up here.

Review of Zara

24 Apr 08, 14:29

Barcelona on Oxford Street 3*

Based in swanky Barcelona small step from Las Ramblas and the famous cathedral, Zara brings a bit of European culture to the high street and it’s reflected in the clothes that are different from the average fayre available in the surrounding shops
