Review of Wallington Hall (national Trust)

Very Good 3*

Beautiful 17th Century type house in the middle of a National Trust Park. With fantastic scenery, this particular National Trust location is definitely worth visiting. Quite extensive grounds, as well as the house there's a Farm shop and Cafe to purchase food and refreshments. Plenty of parking available. About £7 for non NT members.

Great Grounds 4*

National Trust reserve located in Gateshead. Quite extensive grounds, largely flat so not too difficult to manage a long walk. Quite a lot of trees, particular lovely in the Autumn time. Occasionally has farmers markets on offering a lot of local produce. Worth paying the extra for this. National Trust cafe located on the grounds offering a good selection of refreshments. About £5 for non-members and average drinks £1. Definitely recommend.

Review of Beaconsfield Hotel

Local Haunt 3*

Popular bar in Low Fell. Never quite been as keen on the place since it had a refurb, but you can't please everyone. Serves the standards alcoholic/non-alcholic drinks as well as coffees and light snack. Good place to catch up with mates, oh and big tellies for the match.

Review of Victoria Bar & Kitchen

Alreet 3*

Refurbished over a year ago now this pub/restaurant has a very relaxed welcoming environment. A great improvement on the former pub that it was. Serving a good choice of food and also a range of decent foreign beers and local ales. Plenty of flat screens for watching the match on and quite spacious. Would recommend.

Review of Pizza Cottage

Enjoyable 3*

This Pizza Takeaway has been around for a number of years, and I think a few different owners. It has generally been very consistent with serving good food. As well as Pizzas, it's branched out to chips, wedges, kebabs, etcs. So a good selection. Mid week offers include buy 1 pizza and get the same size for £1.50 more. Very decent.

Review of Panis Cafe

Little Italy in the heart of Newcastle 4*

If you want to sample a taste of Italy in the heart of Newcastle, then Pani's cafe would be my number one choice. The staff are friendly, the food delicious and the prices very reasonable. Indeed, the cafe is frequented by groups, couples and family alike. Always popular and very busy, Pani's has an authentic Italian buzz that really can't be missed.

Super 3*

Located in the small village of Coniston this pub/restaurant serves some absolutely fantastic food. Nice relaxed environment with friendly folk serving. Great choice of local Ales available too. Price are very reasonable and the facilities could not be faulted. Would certainly recommend a visit.

Top Quality 5*

This Traditional Chinese restaurant is located in Low Fell. Great setting and the service is excellent. A great selection available on the menu, I'm always spoilt for choice with what to order. I've never had any complaints with the quality offered here. A must for any fan of Chinese food, in and around the area.

Good place to visit 4*

Good pub located next to Beamish Museum, ideal location if wanting to go for a walk before or after your meal. A good variety of food on offer, from Fish and Chips to Curry. At least 3 or 4 Vegetarian options which is quite refreshing, as with some pubs you still struggle to find one. A decent choice of beer and wine to compliment the food too. Recommended.

Review of Monsun

Wealth worth a visit 5*

Quality Indian Restaurant and takeaway situated in the centre of Low Fell. A fantastic choice of food and drink available. Very good value for money and quite generous portions, service is also very professional. The Monsun does good offers on set meals during the week. Personally my favourite Curry House.
