Review of The Tapas Tree

16 May 08, 16:47

Hola scrumtious! 4*

Tell you what, this wee beauty is a right find! The tapas range is excellent. if you're after a crispy calamares, magnificent meatballs, tasty tortilla (amazing alliteration at diners discretion) then this is the place to go. The place looks small from the outside but there's plenty of room in there and a basement for larger parties too. Service is spot on, with the owner Luis on top of it. for somethign even more special check out the spanish guitar and flameco nights! Hola Senior! So get olive oil all over those fingers and pick at your mates meal at the Tapas Tree!

Review of Liquid Room

good nights 3*

There are some superb nights on at the liquid rooms and they do great gigs too. Outside has a really nice smoking garden with heaters and nice lighting and inside holds about 800. Snatch is the best night they've ever had but I think that's well and trully over now. They do an amazing indie night that shouldn't be missed if dancing the night away to the stone roses and the smiths is your idea of a good one.

Review of John Lewis

food court 3*

The John Lewis Cafe is huge yet you could still struggle with finding a seat at lunchtime on a saturday. It has a great range of food from soup and sandwhiches to a creperie and cuts of the day. The highlight for me everytime has to be the stirfry with szechuan sauce. Excellent. That is if you can get the girl behind the counter to keep her eye on it and not let it burn to shrivelled noodles...

Review of Twenty8

Bargain and great 5*

I was referred to this salon by a friend and it was fantastic. The best massage I've had in a long time and at a bargain price aaand it's in soho! The staff are lovely and they have a vast selection of treatments. If you go though remember to take some change along for your tip as they can;t take a tip on card.

Review of Cat & Wheel

surprised 4*

From the outside it looks like a place I wouldn't ever step into no matter how desperate I may be for a good refreshing cider. However I was dragged in one night with my boyfriend and his mates and I love the place. The staff are amazing and the regulars a right treat. Pulls in a really diverse crowd and a nice wee pub for a natter and a pint.

Review of The One Stop Thali Cafe

18 Apr 08, 14:40

bargain 3*

The place is lovely to sit in, it has a great feel to it. The takeout tins that you can buy and keep are such a bargain- buy it once and get an incredibly cheap deal next take out! The only thing is, yes the food is good but it's not as amazing as it's hyped up to be. I think that it's a place that people like to say they love because it's a bit different. It's good, but not as incredible as it gets made out to be by the wannabe cultured.

Review of Pizza Express Restaurants

romana mmm 3*

I agree with Alastair B, the pizzas are overpriced but they are delicious! The Romana is the best option, it's a huge pizza with an icredibly fine fine base. You can't order the romana on takeout however which is really disappointing.

Review of Nice n Sleazy

Sleazy's 5*

This is without a doubt on eof the best bars in Glasgow. It's got a feel of an grimey American Diner and it has amazing live bands with all the top new talent stopping in. It also has an amazing jukebox.

Review of Tesco Metro

avoid at lunch 3*

This place gets RAMMED at lunch, best avoided between 1-1:45 as it's jam packed and the queues are pretty long. Not even worth the queue for one a crispy creme donut!
