nice place 
this is one of the nicer venues on canterbury high street.
it's in a lovely old building that i used to know what it was - library springs to mind but i can't remember now!!
the prices in here aren't that bad however you have to eat at the right time. Without being rude i think they have an assistant chef - as sometimes the food is a bit poor.

not my cup of tea 
this place is a little lively - also full of young people, some of which could be described as chavs!
i like the big screen for the football though - however the crowd in here can make the place a little uninviting.

loud & karaoke...... hmmmm 
if your already pissed when you arrive - you'll love this place.
however if your the desigated driver you'll have a thumping headache!
over the top karaoke with really drunk horrific singers.
but if your with a large group it's a hell of a laugh - the usual wannabe's you find at karaoke nights aren't here so you can be as crap as you like and just laugh!

lovin the pub quiz
we have spent many a sunday evening in this place trying our best to win the legendary quiz.
we've come last, second last and last again! DOH!
However i nearly won £700 on higher or lower - but you guessed it I lost that aswell.
the funniest thing is the host's catchphrase............ What a blow! its not bruce forsyth but - its fun just the same!

i could never get a sofa
used to head in here all the time! so i must be a suit!!!!!!
I could never get a sofa and always has to stand at the crammed bar trying to have a chat with my workmates before heading home!
nice decor inside, nice people too and the prices aren't that bad.
have to agree with the first review ^^^ the chocy shots are yum yum.

crazy crazy crazy
if you like sticky floors, and drunk people prancing about all over the place i have a feeling you'll love this place.
usually rammed with students on weeknights the beer cart could be described as not the best place to take a member of the opposite sex on a date!!!
however, if getting hammered and heading for a kebab is the agenda of the night - ROCK ON!

one of the uk's nicest pubs 
this is truly one of the best pubs in the uk.
it's even a favourite of Ant from Ant & Dec fame - if you go here often enough you'll see the star - pint in hand sitting by the river!!
Had many a great evening in here.
Lovely people, lovely pub.

great for stag nights
went on a stag night in margate and we ended up here!!
ooooohh yea baby what a hilarious night out.
dont think about sitting down for a quiet drink - dont think about having a chat - just large it up and party baby.

bring on the worlds best chips
the chips in this place simply are the best chips in the whole wide world.
the other items on the menu are good too don't get me wrong but the chips are simply stunning.
we use this place for work lunches and birthday parties etc - its a nice comfy smart restaurant without being snobby and poncy.
nice people, nice service - nice food.

this place is a wannabe london bar - in Swindon!
the music is too heavily rnb for it to be rammed full of normal clubbers out for a good time.
there is serious attitude as you walk in - immediately you feel like going to walkabout just over the road.
also as mentioned by previous reviewer - the drinks are very pricy.
wont be going back in a hurry.

Friday is Blackbirds day
Most Fridays we meet at the Blackbirds after work before hitting the mighty Ampthill for a hot rockin night out.
The Blackbirds has a lovely area where you can enjoy a meal plus the traditional bar area for a good old chat with your friends.
The garden in the summer time is cool too - and what's also tip top about this pub is the large car-park outside which is handy for calling by to meet workmates!

Pretty Normal
The Litten Tree is a tired brand now if you ask me.
It's a very samey place and also very dated.
Nice drinks offers though and some fairly ok music - However with Harvey's Bar opening up next door I feel the Litten Tree is only going to go in one direction.
Unless they move with the times they will get left behind.

kents top night out
This is the place to party in Maidstone.
When I was doing panto in Kent a few years back we were in this place all the time.
The music is tip-top, the sound and lights are cool too and the owners a bloody nice people!
