Nice bar 
A lovely little wine bar. Gets busy at the weekends. Drinks aren't cheap but it's got a good atmosphere. Somewhere to take a lady for a drink!

Live music
Often has live music, and tends to be busy when it does. Service is pretty good, drinks are quite reasonably priced. There's a pool table and decent area out the back for smokers.

Good pub 
Quite a local place. Nothing flash, just a resonable pint at a reasonable price. Front bar has a pool table and good jukebox (if you like classic rock). Back bar quieter and more comfortable. Friendly staff.

Not too bad
Right next to the station. Reasonable range of drinks, a little more explensive then most. Popular with those getting off the train so does get busy, which makes for a good atmosphere but sometimes slow servie.

Little known pub
Hiding behind the station, I like this pub. Very close to the station, but not as busy or expensive as the others. It's not pretty and could probably do with a lick of paint, but you can get a decent pint, a seat, and a game of pool. What more do yuo want?

Tends to be pretty busy, service is good, and they pour a good guiness. One of the better pubs in the town centre, worth trying.

Mediocre at best
It's a weatherspoon's. Food and drink is cheap, there's no atmosphere, and lots of young people getting tanked up. The service is generally rubbish. As with most things in life, you get what you pay for.
Not as bad during the day, tends to be more pensioners taking advantage of the wide range of cheap real ale.
