An ok Tesco 
As Tesco's go, this isn't a bad one, just average. It is reasonably big and the selection is ok. Parking is plentiful and there are sufficient tills. Other than that, pretty much what you would expect from a Tesco.

Great cocktails
I only ever come here for cocktails as they are yummy and the choice is great. Only eaten here once but it wasn't the best - maybe they were having an off day? The bar staff are always really chatty and friendly. Good for a few drinky poos on a night out.

Great for mid-shop caffeine fix!
This branch of Starbucks is in a book shop so you can browse for the perfect read and then chill with a caramel frappuchino before continuing with your book search. Perfect! There is also plenty of parking. Queues can sometimes be quite long

All you need for a quick workout
This branch of LA Fitness is better than the one in Portslade. There are many more machines and it is much more spacious. Even at peak times, I have never really had to wait to use a machine. There are a good selection of classes too and the changing rooms are fine. Overall, fine for a quick workout to burn off that big lunch!

Easy Peasy
Gatwick Airport is perfect if you live in Brighton/Hove as the trains go directly there and frequently. The airport itself is reasonably modern and to get from the South to the North terminal is easy as there is a frequent shuttle train (every few mins). The queues are never massive and once through security, the range of shops and eating places is quite varied, including Yo Sushi and Starbucks.

Good Value
This is fab for garden furniture, bbq's etc as really good value for money. They have everything in here ranging from garden equip to household items. The staff are extremely helpful and will take your goods to your car for you.

Great sarnies
This is a nice cafe to come to for a sarnie and coffee at lunchtime. There is a great choice of sandwiches, jacket potatoes, cakes and other yummies and drinks galore too. They are quick and friendly so nothing to complain about.

Handy tapas
This branch of La Tasca is in a great location near to Victoria station. If you are meeting friends on your way home from work, La Tasca is the perfect stop. They squeeze people into every corner of the restaurant but they are attentive and quick to serve. The food is of ok quality and the wine flows freely. Nice loos too!

Great location
Jewel is a great bar to go to with a few friends for cocktails after a hard days shopping. It is a bit expensive but ok if you aren't planning a big night of drinking. This branch is a bit smaller than the piccadilly branch but still would go back.

Great for a quick stop brekkie
Pret a manger do delicious croissants and coffee. This branch is so convenient as it is in Victoria station and there are sufficient tills so you never have to really wait, if you are rushing for a train. Great a lunch time too - the sushi and miso soup is gorgeous!

Whatever you want, they have it
Debenhams is the place to go if you just want to wander around and pick up something that you don't really need. There are so many different clothes and makeup concessions that you are spoilt for choice. And great that you can use your nectar card. There are lots of changing rooms and tills in this branch so there is no worries with queues.

If you like your vitamins and dried fruit type thing, then this branch of Holland and Barrett is perfect for you. They have a huge selection of all things healthy and I always pop in to stock up on vitamins.

Great relaxed atmosphere
I have only been here for dinner but we loved the chilled out atmosphere and mix match of furniture. The food was ok too! It has recently been refurbished and I haven't been since this but I am sure it is just as lovely. Great location too in the North Laines.

Great surroundings...
The inside of Bills is stunning - food hanging from the ceilings, walls full of produce to buy and the most stunning cakes you have ever seen The downside is the queues - I have never been here without having to queue. I always think 'oh the queue will be worth it' but usually, the food disappoints, sadly. Maybe it is because I am so hungry by the time that I sit down that I wolf the food down without tasting it! But the food has never really wowed me - think it is all about the atmosphere rather than the food.

Can't go wrong with Zara
Zara is one of my favourite shops. They have loads of colourful and different clothes with great accessories and gorgeous shoes!!! Always leave here with something from a brightly coloured cardie to a nice going out top. Prices range from a good bargain to some quite expensive items. Big changing rooms so never really have to wait.

Good for a few quick lengths
This is the pool local to my parents house and it is great if you fancy getting a bit of exercise in - it is never really that full (apart from school holidays) and there is always a lane dedicated to people wanting to just do lanes. Changing rooms are ok too...enough showers and loos and quite clean. All in all, a good place for a swim!

This branch of Blockbuster has a good choice of dvds and they are never sold out which is good (hate it when you go to get a specific dvd and they are sold out!). My only gripe is that it smells a little - when you walk in, smells really weird and musty!

This branch of Boots is pretty small but it has everything you would need. The selection of makeup is quite small but you can go to the main branch in town for a better choice. There is never a queue so it's perfect to pop in at lunch time for a quick shop.

Giddy Up!
This is a fantastic riding centre, my daughter has riden here every wk for the past 2yrs. The instructors & stable girls are very friendly and I am happy to leave my daughter in their more than capable hands.
They are expensive but, the ponies are good, so def worth the cost.

Girlie
I often get hauled in here with my daughter as she loves the fluffy, glittery things etc that are in here. She wanted her ears pierced so, I took her here and they were great. They did both ears at the same time, which wasa good idea as stopped her worrying about having the 2nd ear done.
She was more impressed by the lolly she got though to be honest!

Great little B&B
My parents stayed here when they came to visit and they were very pleased with it. The location was great (although parking not the best as quite expensive), the room size was adequate (although they did pay extra for a bigger room with a four poster) and the staff were very welcoming. There is even a little cat there to welcome you! The breakfasts were pleasant too. They would go back.

very Good Value
One of my colleagues told me about this and I decided to try for myself and was glad I did. I had their tuna mayo with melted cheese on granary.
The service was good and the staff all seemed to know their regulars.
I'll definately be going back as less expensive than the usual ones I go to.

Good to get a tan
So the Vic isn't the nicest pub in the world but it serves its purpose. You can get a nice cold shandy and sit outside in the beer garden sunning yourself during your lunch break. What more could you want?

small but good
Having heard lots about this restaurant, I decided to try it one night with a few friends. The food itself was lovely, especially the Beef Wellington. It is more expensive than a lot of restaurants around this area but, worth it.
A few drawbacks for me were the fact it is always so busy, so you feel slightly rushed but the staff. Also, I went with a friend for lunch and was surprised at the cost, far to expensive for a quick pub lunch. I'm sure the food is as lovely as it is in the evening but, most people don't want to pay as much at lunch as they do in the evenings.

Nice for a special meal
Situated at the very top of the hill in Arundel, this restaurant offers wonderful food. I have been there on several occasion whether it just be for a meal with friends or to celebrate something special, every time I have had a fab meal and great service. They don't rush you after your courses or when you are finished, they are more than happy to let you sit and have a few drinks unlike a lot of restaurants who can't wait to get you out the door.
One bad thing is their takeaway service, I have only tried this once and won't try it again. The quality of the food was terrible but, this could have been an off night but, I haven't tried it again. I would rather sit in the restaurant from now on.

Nice outdoor area
Went here on a lovely sunny afternoon for a shandy in the sun and we weren't disappointed. The selection of drinks is varied and there is an extensive list of ales, if you like that kind of thing! We didn' eat but the food menu looked good with a lot of choice.

Great little find, hidden away
When I lived in South London, I would trek up to Covent Garden to get my locks cut here. The hairdressers always made you feel comfortable, giving you advice on what would suit you and not making you do anything too crazy. Not the cheapest place in the world but worth it if you leave feeling happy!

Good for weekend lunch
Only ever been here on a weekend for lunch and never been disappointed. Sometimes have to wait for a table but it's ok to perch at the bar. The food is good - have a bbq at weekends. The outdoor area is perfect for your smoker friends. Great location too.

Cheese overload
Only ever been to the cheesy upstairs part of Casablancas but it ticked all the boxes...cheesy music, cheap drinks and space to boogie! Love the car to sit in by the bar! Great location too near the seafront. Always good if you have had a few drinks and want somewhere fun to go.

Fat Leo's is what you would expect -cheap food and not the greatest quality. Ok if you just fancy a quick pizza whilst shopping but not the place to go with your loved one for a romantic meal! Good location though in the heart of the south laines.

Nice for a catch up with friends
Exhibit is nice to go to for a few quick drinks with friends. The drink selection is better than other bars (they serve Tuaca here!) and the cocktail menu is pretty extensive. The restaurant upstairs serves good food at ok prices. The bar on the top floor is table service only...not my cup of tea!

Ok if you are drunk as a skunk
The Bedford is the place to go in Balham if you are planning on getting very drunk and dancing like an idiot! It is always really cramped and hot downstairs. Once the upstairs is opened, it is slightly more spacious but still pretty dingy. Only go here is you have consumed a lot of alcohol!

Go here if you want a quick, yummy meal. BUT there is usually always a queue and they serve the food whenever it is ready...which means your meal often turns up after other peoples! But doesn't really matter if you have a nice glass of wine to keep you happy!

Huge selection
There are so many floors! And the lift isnt always working...but the stairs are good exercise! If they don't have the book you want, they will order them in for you. Perfect to spend time browsing with sofas if you really want to chill out. Even has a coffee shop to relax in between books

If you love a good bagel, go here. The choice of bagels is wide and the fillings even better! I am quite a traditionalist and go for creme cheese and I must say, it is gorgeous! The other branch in Hove is great too and much bigger with more seating

Cocktail selection huge
This is the place to go if you like a good cocktail. They take a while to make but are worth it. Only ever sat upstairs which was empty when I went (all seats taken downstairs so had no choice) - atmosphere is much better downstairs. Would go again

Carluccios is the place to go if you want to catch up with the girls over simple, good value food and a nice bottle of Pinot! The bread and oil is great to pick at before the meal and you can pick something up on the way out in the shop.

Trendy restaurant
This is one of the places to be at the moment in london. It has a bar, restaurant and a more casual restaurant (eat at the bar style). The staff are all dressed immaculately in black and the place is absolutely spotless. Lots of celebs have been spotted here. The food is a work of art but you pay a price for it.

Great selection of shops
The Harlequin Centre in Watford has tons of great shops for all ages from Marks and Spencer to H&M to Jessops. There are plenty are car parking spaces although it can get quite busy on a Saturday. You will always find something here that you need. It is right in the centre of Watford so the high street is on the doorstep, with even more shops.

Fun for youngsters
This used to be my old haunt when I was younger. Fun music, good location in central watford and always a good night. Great to go to with big groups of friends. It used to be the only proper club in Watford but I think now there are a few to compete including Area and a few others.

Great Bloody Marys
The Tin Drum in Seven Dials is a relaxed pub with plenty of seating, friendly bar staff and good choice of food and drink. The Bloody Mary is especially good (although they take a long time to make, it is worth the wait!). I haven't eaten here but the menu looks good and I'm sure I will eat here one day. The other branches of Tin Drum are just as nice.

Great Brekkies!
I love the Real Eating Co for their yummy eggs florentine! Not eaten there in the evening but the dinner menu looks good too. The staff are always really friendly and there is always a relaxed atmosphere. Love the deli upstairs but it isn't cheap. Overall, a nice place to wander to for brekkie.
