Great cocktails 
I only ever come here for cocktails as they are yummy and the choice is great. Only eaten here once but it wasn't the best - maybe they were having an off day? The bar staff are always really chatty and friendly. Good for a few drinky poos on a night out.

Fab Venue 
My first visit was to see Frank Skinner and I was pleasantly surprised. The seats were comfy, the room is the perfect size so that you can actually see the performer and the bar is great for a quicky pre-show bevvy. Overall, great venue in Brighton!

All you need for a quick workout
This branch of LA Fitness is better than the one in Portslade. There are many more machines and it is much more spacious. Even at peak times, I have never really had to wait to use a machine. There are a good selection of classes too and the changing rooms are fine. Overall, fine for a quick workout to burn off that big lunch!

Best Cookie Cakes
For as long as I can remember, I have always had a Millies Giant Cookie for my birthday cake. You can choose the base from a variety of flavours and you can choose the flavour of the icing. The best thing is that you can put any message on the cake plus there are smarties! The normal cookies are also yummy!

Best cookies ever 
Bens Cookies is the best place in the world for cookies! They are seriously delicious, almost cake like. They are usually warm which means lots of gooey chocolate. The variety of flavours is extensive for example, macadamia, praline, white chocolate...the list goes on!

NOW SAMS OF BRIGHTON
My boyfriend and I went here a while ago when it was One Paston Place and we weren't overly impressed. Now it has changed hands and is Sams of Brighton which is run by the same person as Sevendials. The decor has changed and is more relaxed and the food is yummy. Very friendly staff too. Would recommend.

More expensive than Hove 
I went here when in town one day and was slightly disappointed. I am a big fan of the Hove branch so to find that the Brighton restaurant was more expensive was annoying, purely because of its location. The food was not as nice Hove and the restaurant less intimate. I will only be going to Hove from now on.

Whatever you want, they have it
Debenhams is the place to go if you just want to wander around and pick up something that you don't really need. There are so many different clothes and makeup concessions that you are spoilt for choice. And great that you can use your nectar card. There are lots of changing rooms and tills in this branch so there is no worries with queues.

Huge good of good healthy stuff
If you like your vitamins and dried fruit type thing, then this branch of Holland and Barrett is perfect for you. They have a huge selection of all things healthy and I always pop in to stock up on vitamins.

Great relaxed atmosphere
I have only been here for dinner but we loved the chilled out atmosphere and mix match of furniture. The food was ok too! It has recently been refurbished and I haven't been since this but I am sure it is just as lovely. Great location too in the North Laines.

Great surroundings...
The inside of Bills is stunning - food hanging from the ceilings, walls full of produce to buy and the most stunning cakes you have ever seen The downside is the queues - I have never been here without having to queue. I always think 'oh the queue will be worth it' but usually, the food disappoints, sadly. Maybe it is because I am so hungry by the time that I sit down that I wolf the food down without tasting it! But the food has never really wowed me - think it is all about the atmosphere rather than the food.

It's closed down! Boo hoo..z
I can't believe it! This was one of my favourite restaurants in Brighton and it has shut down! The peeps running it have decided to pursue their own new ventures. Such a shame as they served beautiful food in comfortable surroundings and the food was always served with a smile. Will be missed.

Coffee coffee coffee!
I like a nice skinny latte and they do serve good ones here. The staff are friendly and the service is pretty swift. BUT, the seating area is always a bit messy and dirty and the loos are gross! Only go here for a takeaway coffee!

Can't go wrong with Zara
Zara is one of my favourite shops. They have loads of colourful and different clothes with great accessories and gorgeous shoes!!! Always leave here with something from a brightly coloured cardie to a nice going out top. Prices range from a good bargain to some quite expensive items. Big changing rooms so never really have to wait.

Great for pressies
Habitat is one of the shops I go to for my girly friends pressies. From vases to wine glasses to candles, you can always find a good pressie in here. Or even if you are shopping for your own home, they have such a diverse range of homeware, it's great! Some things can be pricey but you can also find a good bargain.

Always has what you want
This branch of Blockbuster has a good choice of dvds and they are never sold out which is good (hate it when you go to get a specific dvd and they are sold out!). My only gripe is that it smells a little - when you walk in, smells really weird and musty!

Great little B&B
My parents stayed here when they came to visit and they were very pleased with it. The location was great (although parking not the best as quite expensive), the room size was adequate (although they did pay extra for a bigger room with a four poster) and the staff were very welcoming. There is even a little cat there to welcome you! The breakfasts were pleasant too. They would go back.

Not the best
Normally you can't fault Pizza Express. However, I think I had the worst pizza of my life in this branch. I went for my favourite, 4 cheeses, and it was awful. The base was so doughy it was soggy. We also had to wait about an hour for it. It definitely was not worth the wait. The staff were really inattentive and ignored us when trying to get their attention. Won't go back.

Shocking staff!
My boyfriend normally loves this shop for its shoes but on our last visit, we were disappointed. The staff were unhelpful, offish and rude. You want to make sure a pair of shoes fits properly before buying them but on asking for a different size, the girl was annoyed that we had asked such a thing! She also tried to sell us a pair of trainers with one trainer all dirty. Not good service at all.

Bit smelly...
We went here on a sunny day purely because it had an outdoor area. Otherwise, the pub is a bit musty and smelly. The loos were not nice, with water on the floors and no handwash or soap. The only two good things about this pub were the seats outside and the bloody marys...the were tasty!

Too expensive for what it is
I have only been here once but vowed never to go again as didn't enjoy it one bit. The food and drink were overpriced as portions were tiny and not that great. The bar area is nice and modern but the restaurant area didn't feel that special. The location is good though and the bloody mary I had was yummy.

Perfect for romantic dinner
Sevendials is a restaurant to go to with your partner for top nosh at ok prices. They have a lovely outdoor area with heating which is perfect for dinner in the summer with your loved one. The staff are always happy to amend dishes if you are fussy! They seem to pay a lot of interest to their staff too with photos on the wall. Good location too right on Sevendials roundabout.

A gem!
Only been here once but the Sunday Lunch was awesome, even for a veggie. We had a lovely corner table, read our sunday papers and were treated to a gorgeous veggie roast, served by a lovely man! Even once we had finished and were having a coffee, we didn't feel rushed to leave - felt like we could have stayed all day. Very relaxed and friendly.

Good for weekend lunch
Only ever been here on a weekend for lunch and never been disappointed. Sometimes have to wait for a table but it's ok to perch at the bar. The food is good - have a bbq at weekends. The outdoor area is perfect for your smoker friends. Great location too.

Cheese overload
Only ever been to the cheesy upstairs part of Casablancas but it ticked all the boxes...cheesy music, cheap drinks and space to boogie! Love the car to sit in by the bar! Great location too near the seafront. Always good if you have had a few drinks and want somewhere fun to go.

Great night out
Sky Bar is a great place to go in the South Laines for drinks on a night out. The bar area does get extremely busy and there are usually short queues on a weekend but once you are inside, you will no doubt have fun! Great music and great location

Fat Leo's is what you would expect -cheap food and not the greatest quality. Ok if you just fancy a quick pizza whilst shopping but not the place to go with your loved one for a romantic meal! Good location though in the heart of the south laines.

Huge selection
There are so many floors! And the lift isnt always working...but the stairs are good exercise! If they don't have the book you want, they will order them in for you. Perfect to spend time browsing with sofas if you really want to chill out. Even has a coffee shop to relax in between books

Boots is the best!
Love Boots for great deals, 2 for 1's, 3 for the price of 2 etc. The range of makeup is extensive and you will always leave with something, whether you needed it or not! In the centre of town too so easy peasy to get to

Yum!
If you love a good bagel, go here. The choice of bagels is wide and the fillings even better! I am quite a traditionalist and go for creme cheese and I must say, it is gorgeous! The other branch in Hove is great too and much bigger with more seating

Awesome!
This is best place to go for the most scrumptious milkshakes!!! They literally mix anything you want, from maltesers and creme eggs to fruit gums and digestives! The queue is always out the door, even in the winter!

Place to go for a few drinks

Lovely atmosphere
Carluccios is the place to go if you want to catch up with the girls over simple, good value food and a nice bottle of Pinot! The bread and oil is great to pick at before the meal and you can pick something up on the way out in the shop.

Another great place for veggies
This is one of the best veggie places in brighton. Even for non-veggies, the food is great. My boyfriend always enjoys his meal and says you don't notice there is no meat/fish. The dishes are all really original and I have never been disappointed.

Extensive choice of wine
This hotel and restaurant is one of the best in brighton. The restaurant serves high quality food and the wine list is so long that it takes ages to choose (although they are all pretty expensive). I haven't been to the bar but I hear it is a great place to have a drink on a night out.

Great Bar
This is one of my favourite bars to go to in brighton before a big night out. The drinks are cheap compared to most places in Brighton and the staff always make you feel welcome. There are quite a few comfy sofas to relax on or you can sit at the bar and have a chat with the owner who is really friendly. They also have big screens for football/rugby days. Music is good in the evenings.

Great Bloody Marys
The Tin Drum in Seven Dials is a relaxed pub with plenty of seating, friendly bar staff and good choice of food and drink. The Bloody Mary is especially good (although they take a long time to make, it is worth the wait!). I haven't eaten here but the menu looks good and I'm sure I will eat here one day. The other branches of Tin Drum are just as nice.

Old and bit dirty
Although this cinema shows great films and is in a good location, the building itself is old and needs a revamp. The floors are always sticky with fizzy drinks and the loos are dirty. The food and drink is expensive too - the popcorn isn't even that nice!

Great value
Love Strada! The bread for starter is delicious, with loads of chilli oil! I always order a salad that has bacon on but because I am a veggie, they always remove it, without question. There are always lots of deals on and the staff are always really pleasant and make you feel comfortable. The best thing about it is the price - we never spend more than £10 per person.

Fav restaurant in Brighton
This is definitely without doubt my favourite place to go for a special occasion. Start with a scrummy cocktail in the bar then head downstairs to the gorgeous restaurant for lovely food and attentive service. Prices aren't cheap but worth it for a special night out. Love the warm bread they serve! Never been disappointed here. I also like the other Gingerman branches, especially the Gingerpig in Hove which is more casual and relaxed than the others.

Red Snapper
Lovely Thai restaurant with good prices, yummy food and lovely staff. The best thing about it is that it's BYO! They have another branch on Waterloo Street which is nice and cosy with great food. Red Snapper is definitely one of my favourite Thai restaurants in Brighton.
