Review of Corrigan Bros

Scrumptious and Well-Prepared! 5*

The first time I've gone into this place; it was to get some of their eggs (boy do they have loads of eggs for a cheap price - if you're doing that kind of thing). Today, however, my wife and I went in to look at the hordes of meat they had on offer. Now, the most wonderful thing about this place was that you could get two packs of meat (about 4 chunks of pork chop, lamb chop, certain sausages) for only a fiver.

That alone, made me want to give them a glorious and beaming review. I know, price shouldn't be a huge factor - but the variety of meats and selections was rather large (considering it's not that big of a shop) and anyone could go home happy. If you're a Barbeque fiend, I'm sure you could have had a block party for under £50 for anywhere around 15-20 people. Or, if you're more of a family person, a good £10 would be enough for a family of six. Personally, I think that's one heck of a deal.

Even so, I decided to wait to write a review until after I've cooked and eaten the meat that I've purchased. I grabbed a pack of Smokey BBQ Pork Chops and my wife got some Minted Lamb Chops. After the first bite, I couldn't stop mowing down the Pork Chops. They were so scrumptious and I couldn't believe how well-prepared they were just from the butchers! My wife just threw them into the grill and they came out wonderful! Without a doubt, it was the best pork chops I've had in a very long time. And to top it off, we have some Peppered Steaks for tomorrow night. Total amount we spent? £10. Amazing.

I requested to take some photos of their shop and the butchers - they were very happy to let me do so. My final words would be: If you're in the area, go in and see if there's something you fancy - I'm almost certain you won't be disappointed.

Review of Tufnell Park Kebabs

If you want meat 'n chips.. 5*

This is definitely the place. I've been coming here off and on for the past two years and I've not once had a bad batch from them. They have healthier alternatives as well (vegetarian/vegan); so it's pretty much well for everyone. The chips they have are soft and more like wedges; but I'm definitely not complaining.

The employees there have always been sincere to me and those of my family. From time to time, my son's gotten a free lolipop or other small bits from someone running around doing everything they can. It may take 'becoming a regular' to stir them around - but as far as I know, they aim to get every order accurate.

The kebabs are nice as well, and they will sort through "custom orders" with ease. On top of that, you get to get toppings on your chips and the meat (if you're picky like that). Either way, you're bound to get good service and awesome food.

Dislikes The space monkeys that keep landing in the back garden keeping me up at night.
Fave books Ender's Game, The World According to Garp, and Trainspotting.
Fave films The World According to Garp (brillant adaption from the novel, for once!), Trainspotting, 1984, Requiem for Dream, Radio Flyer....
Fave music Green Day (earlier stuff), Semisonic, Fastball...pretty much mid/late 90's stuff.
Last Holiday America? (if you call that a holiday)
Best thing about where I live The local shops, of course! As well as my wife and son.
Worst thing about where I live The several chronic weirdos, and the constant space monkeys coming to attack in my resting stage.
