Review of Safeheat Torbay
12 Apr 08, 11:49
Oh dear, not very good service at all
We living in a housing association property and any boiler repairs and checks are carried out by Safe Heat.
Earlier this year our central heating system failed and we were unable to get any hot water without having to turn on the central heating. Not only was this using a lot of gas, it was also getting expensive to run.
So we informed the housing association who called out Safeheat.
When they arrived they managed to do a temporary fix on the boiler but said that another part was required to finish the job. About 6 weeks later we still haven't seen Safeheat!
After complaining to the housing association it turns out Safeheat had made a complaint against us. This was investigated by the housing association and no grounds for the complaint were found. So we're still without a working boiler. Safeheat have 'made complaints' a few times before. How they're in business when they don't turn up I don't know.
When they do turn up they tend to visit when they feel like it and don't bother calling in advance, so you have so wait around on the off chance they they're coming.
I certainly couldn't recommend them to any paying customers until they improve their services. IF their service does improve I will re-review them and re-rate them accordingly.

Review of Burger King

Very disapointing
The last time I visited this particular Burger King I was very disappointed.
It was a Saturday afternoon about 3pm, it wasn't very busy at all although the tables had left over wrappers and food on them and the I got the overall impression that they just didn't care.
While we were waiting for our food (10 minutes we waited!) a couple of people complained about their ordered had been messed up.
Now I know that the staff at these fast food places are probably only paid minimum wage but I really would have expected a bit more enthusiasm and clean tables.
It wasn't until we'd pretty much finished our meals that they started cleaning tables.
I'll make a point of going elsewhere next time.

Review of Jingles Restaurant
10 Apr 08, 19:44
Not what I had imagined
Jingles was one of those places that my fiancée and I had always wanted to visit since we got together. We'd often go past and say how it would be nice to go there for a meal.
So, for her birthday I arranged a surprise meal at Jingles.
We were really disappointed with what we found. The service was okay but not what I would say outstanding. When choosing the food they staff didn't really explain what was included. I was surprised to find that the 'sweet' sauce on the Enchiladas actually contained chocolate. It wasn't a very good meal and cost about £17!
The one good thing about the meal was the chocolate desert but again that was about £6.
Having been disappointed once, we thought we'd give it the benefit of the doubt and have another try, this time with something not so exotic (this time we went out as a group for a work colleague's leaving do). We had pre-ordered the food a couple of days in advance and were supposed to be at the restaurant for 7pm. Although we were a few minutes late (due to bad parking in the area - although Jingles can't be blamed for that), we still had to wait about 45 minutes for the starters to arrive. We had drinks while we were waiting which took a while to arrive. As I was driving I had a large coke, and that tasted watered down. :-(
The meal itself (steak) wasn't too bad although it did seem fairly overpriced for what I got. Again this took ages to arrive.
Ordering another round of drinks was a nightmare, the staff didn't seem to be interested in bringing the drinks over. I did actually go to the bar to order a couple of drinks but they said they would bring it over. I tried to explain I was able to carry a couple of drinks over to the table but they were adement that they wanted to bring it to the table so I went and sat down. 10 minutes later someone finally brought the drinks over (they were sitting on the bar for a good 5 minutes with staff seemingly ignoring the drinks sitting there).
By the end of the meal I was so fed up with the lousy service I decided to leave early with my fiancée. We tried to pay for our meal but as we were in a group we were unable to pay for our own food and it had to be paid for as a group!
In the end we left some cash to cover our food with our colleagues and left.
I certainly won't be visiting Jingles again. I was really disappointed at the service (or lack of), and the atmosphere did not feel Mexican or Texan at all. They didn't even have any authentic music playing!
I could only reluctantly recommend Jingles to someone who really loves Mexican food and nothing else.

Review of Booth Amusements
10 Apr 08, 18:33
Okay if you like bingo and fruit machines, not much good otherwise
Booths Amusements is not what it used to be. In the 80's and 90's, Booths Amusements had a fairly good selection of arcade games for people to play on with an equally good selection of Fruit Machines. Now though it just seems to be Fruit Machines and bingo.
I wouldn't say it was very suitable for anyone with young kids and not really very interesting unless you like bingo or Fruit Machines.
