Review of The Music MIll

Dance Classes
When one of my daughters took an interest in learning dance I looked around the area for beginners classes for her. I found the staff at The Music Mill to be really helpful in giving advice and the teacher really encouraged my daughter.
My daughter has been going to Ballet Classes for just under a year now and she has taken to it like a Swan to a Lake.
I'd really recommend checking out The Music Mill, not only do they do dance classes, they also do singing classes, recording and lots more which could keep all the kinds entertained.

Review of S I Engineering

Great service
When my car was involved in an accident, S I Engineering were able to repair the damage quickly and to a very high standard.
Although the damage looked fairly bad, when the repair was finished the end result looked perfect, almost as if the car had come out of the showroom!
I'd certainly recommend S I Engineering for any car body repairs no matter how small or how large.

Review of SVP

Just about everything for your computer at low low prices
I've been using SVP since about 2000 for just about all my computer consumables.
They sell a really wide range of media and consumables including blank CDs & DVDs, printer cartridges, memory cards and much more.
They also now sell computer hardware and tempting toys like flat screen TV's and DVD players.
Their prices are possibly some of the lowest on the internet, with a major saving on highstreet prices.
If you're local to the area you're able to order online and pick up the items from the trade counter to save delivery costs, or you're not local (or don't want to pick up the items in person) you can benefit from the regular delivery offers that SVP for their buyers club members.

Review of Electrowise

Great local supplier of computer bits
As with Electrowise's Newton Abbot store, they offer a wide range of computer bits. They're really a handy supplier for those parts and consumables you just can't wait for.
They have great monthly offers which are fairly competitive and they have a good range of popular items in stock.

Review of Willow Tree

The best value carvery in Torbay
I'd have to say that the Willow Tree is the best place for a value carvery in the whole of Torbay, and possibly even Devon!
The food is really good quality and such good value. On Monday to Saturday you can get an adult carvery for £3.50 and a kids carvery for £3.25. Even on a Sunday the price only goes up to £6.50 for an adult carvery with the kids carvery staying the same price. The carvery's are the same size no matter when you visit. Food is also served until 9pm.
There are also a fair few other great meals if you're not a carvery fan, plus a wide range of drinks including beers, spirits and a great selection of in house fruit juices.
I'd say the best bit about the Willow Tree though would have to be the deserts. If you're a chocoholic then I'd certainly suggest the Chocolate Fudge Sensation. It's about £3 (or about £1.50 for a kids size) and it is a combination of chocolate fudge brownies, chocolate ice cream and squirty cream. It really has to be experienced.
I'd say that The Willow Tree is a great alternative to the usual fast food 'resturants' that just sell processed food. The Willow Tree only provide good quality food with proper plates and knives and forks, plus you're not able to have a beer with your meal at a fast food place.

Review of Aquator

Everything for my fishie friends
After picking up a cheap tropical fish tank from a car boot sale I needed some fish and lots of advice on how to keep them.
My first stop was Aquator who were really helpful in explaining exactly what I needed to setup a tropical fish tank and how to keep the fishies happy.
They were able to not only provide excellent advice, they were also able to provide all the bits I required such as pumps, heaters, lights, gravel and eventually when the tank was ready, the fish too!
They have lots of varieties of fish ranging from the basic common Gold Fish up to the fancy marine varieties such as Clown Fish. They also have other amphibious creatures such as frogs, newts and much more.
I'd certainly recommend them to both new and experienced fish owners.

Review of Hele Road Fish & Chips

Lovely fish and chips
I do like a nice portion of fish and chips every so often but I often find that fish and chips shops in the area don't taste as good as they could to.
I first experienced the fish and chips from the Hele Road Fish & Chip shop after travelling home from a long hard day at work. I thought they would be just like every other chip shop but I was quite surprised I was wrong.
The chips have a really great taste to them, the fish is just right and the batter is nice and crispy. Not only do they do a great portion of fish and chips, they also do other things like burgers and fried chicken.
I always make a point of going to the Hele Road Fish & Chip shop whenever I have takeaway fish & chips. Although it is a car journey away from where I live, I think the chips are just that bit better than my local chippy which is just around the corner.
Another plus point about this chippie is that they have parking at the side of the shop so you don't have to talk half way up the road to your car!

Review of Grand Pier Teignmouth
10 Apr 08, 18:29
Not as good as it's glory days
When I was younger, The Grand Pier in Teignmouth was the place to hang out with your friends in school holidays and at weekend.
In the 80's and early 90's they had a very good range of arcade games from some of the earlier classics such as Space Invaders up to the latest machines such as Street Fighter 2. They also had a reasonable selection of other activities such as novelty rides, machines that pushed coins over moving platforms (I never could hit the jackpot and push the big stack off the end of the platform) and Fruit Machines for those who liked that sort of thing.
However nowadays when I go back with my young kids it just isn't the same. The majority of machines are now big money Fruit Machines with little else to do. There is a 'fun' area at the end of the Pier where kids can go on the rides (they even have a kiddie's rollercoaster right at the end of the Pier) but it's not a patch on what it used to be.
If you have young children you'd probably find something on there for them to enjoy but if you're the type who loved the arcades of the 80's and 90's you'd probably be sorely disappointed which is a real shame.

Review of Booth Amusements
10 Apr 08, 18:33
Okay if you like bingo and fruit machines, not much good otherwise
Booths Amusements is not what it used to be. In the 80's and 90's, Booths Amusements had a fairly good selection of arcade games for people to play on with an equally good selection of Fruit Machines. Now though it just seems to be Fruit Machines and bingo.
I wouldn't say it was very suitable for anyone with young kids and not really very interesting unless you like bingo or Fruit Machines.
