Pets Win Prizes
This place has everything you need for your pet. Especially cats and dogs. If you need something for a cat, or a dog, then they have stuff. It smells a bit in here sometimes, but you get used to it after a while. Also it's near a car park - which is really handy.

Easy Now
Whenever i tell people i'm from Nottingham they either make a joke about shottingham or tell me some useless fact about how there are 7 women to every man or something like that. While i think that this 'fact' is slightly exaggerated, if you still want to head to Nottingham to try and get lucky, then you can do worse than make this your first port of call. Sure it's out of town and on an industrial estate, and probably past it's heyday, but it's the locals that make it a very special place.

Factory School
I went on a busy Saturday monring so can appreciate the 'factory' like approach the staff take here in just getting riding on horses.
I don't understand why they were so unfriendly in the office. The lady was just interested in taking my money and not telling me how the school works, where to go next etc etc.
Most importantly she didn't ask me if i had been there before and ask me to fill in a new rider/liability form. They have indoor schools here and the instructor was friendly enough.
The price is reasonable although i booked a private lesson but there wasn't really enough room and i ended up tagging along with another group.
The place is really easy to get to as well - just 400m from Oakwood tube.
I'd be willing to go back, but am also keen to find other riding schools in London i can get to from the tube.

Bring back the diving board
I lost interest in this place when they ditched the diving board for the space bowl slide ting a few years back. I go elsewhere now 'cos i prefer to actually swim, not play around in the water. Lots of car parking spaces though and handily located off the A52.

Good local pool
They have a good timetable for the swimming pool with ladies sessions, kids playtime and so on. It's also really good if you've got little un's as there's a tiny (and warm) pool for them. Probably best to call first and see what's going on though.
You can hire rooms there for parties too, and there's a nice park for you to stroll around.

Oh, Christmas Tree
I go here with my parents every year for a Christmas Tree. They do a good selection and have lots of patience with my mum who has to see every tree, from every angle before making a decision. They have a nice selection of baubles too.

Nice
Go for a lovely walk around the nature reserve, and (providing you don't get lost) you can reward yourself by going to the pub by the river. Go and enjoy the local wildlife, and avoid the midges. Brill for a stroll.

Aladdins Cave
My colleagues take the mick out of me for going here so much but it's a really good store for all things housey - cleaning products, hardware, tools, ironing boards, bins, cables, plugs everything. In the middle of winter i needed some of those blue blocks you put int he freezer then in cool bags for picnics and although they didn't have any out, they went and got some from out back for me. Wonderful.

Great ButNot On Fridays
On Fridays the afterworks crowds, jostle with the theatregoers, and the eaters jostle with the drinkers. There's a lot going off in here and the atmosphere is very lively. The food was surpisingly nice - and do let the desserts tempt you - they are delicious.

Great Cookies
I love Millies cookie. Remember when it used to be Cookie Jar? Anyway the smell of the stuff pumping around waterloo station makes it pretty hard to resist. These guys give quick service too, so don;t worry about missing your train due to cookie related emergencies.
