Review of Pizza On The Park

passable pizza
Would only really come to this restaurant out of convenience – last time was because I had just spent the day in Hyde Park and ended up here out of lack of imagination. What did make my visit memorable however, was that we spotted Montoya eating here... Anyway, the food is what you would expect from a standard pizza place, no different to Pizza Express and prices are also similar.
As mentioned in the previous review, what makes the difference is the live jazz music – great if that is your thing but if that is of no interest to you then you would probably be better off elsewhere.

Review of Ciros Pizza Pomodoro

not for me
When you first go down the steps into the restaurant, this place seems like a bit of a dive. I guess it is in a way, the walls are covered in old, half faded photos of the various celebs that have been there - to give an example: Patrick Swayze in his heyday…
Cuisine type is Italian, although the pizzas are the main part of the menu, all named after famous people (I’m not sure why).
The focus is on the atmosphere, which I don’t rate: seating is cramped – chances are that you will have to push past some couple having an intimate dinner. The place prides itself on the live music, which is usually a selection of covers which are overpoweringly loud (and also bad chees ballads at that).
Although the food is average, all other factors considered, the restaurant overall is a slight disappointment. Despite this, it will continue to be as popular as it currently is due to the loyal customer base.
