This gym is designed for the type of gym user who wants to bulk up and train hard. It has a massive selection of weights and gym equipment. Its affordable and has its own parking facilities.

Health Club 
This is a health club which focusses on gym classes and Cardio Vascular exercise. It had a small weights selection which is adequate for the average gym user. It also has a swimmingpool and sauna/steam room.

Great Gym
Great no nonsense gym with a modest selection of fitness equipment. It has a pool, sauna and jacuzzi and the staff are very friendly. It also has members discounts on a wide range of beauty and sports therapy.

Review of Globe Hotel

Everyones first choice
The Globe is extremely busy on Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays (student night). Prepare yourself for ques at the door and yet more ques at the bar. But if you're after a night out in town this is where everyone will be until atleast 11pm. The drinks arn't overly expensive and the bar staff are efficient. With securitty staff constantly circuiting the pub and beer garden its free from trouble too.

Sweet Temptations
Tucked away at the end of the highstreet opposite Debenhams this sweet shop has every sweet imaginable, the price is relatively cheap too. Including all the old favourites and handmade chocolates too. Perfect treat when your in town also makes a great gift.

All you can eat buffet
Refurbished since it opened the place looks much better now. You are left to eat as much as you like and the tables are constantly cleared. The food is of a good standard for the price but it can all tend to taste the same. Casual atmosphere, perhaps a better place to eat lunch than an evening meal.

Average family day out
No frills bowling complex and planet zoom play area for the kids. Food is average and reasonably priced. The staff arn't particularly enthusiastic in making your time there enjoyable but they get the job done. Tends to get alot of youths hanging about outside in the evening.

Tasty Chips
Dennys has proved a favourite with school kids for years. Although there is only a tiny area to que and its often very busy the chips are lovely. Ann Chan the owner is the friendliest person and never forgets a customer. Good value and not too greasy!

Marvellous Meat
Van Pelts has a good reputation in town and it makes the best sausage rolls. The staff are very polite and its very clean. All the products are top quality and are reasonably priced too. It's a shame the premises arn't a little bigger as occasionally I have to que out of the door, which i don't mind because it's worth it.

Love the new refurb
River Island has recently been refurbished and it's much bigger with a great selection of clothes. It now has two floors with womenswear downstairs and mens upstairs. They always have the latest trends in stock and the price isn't bad either. I like the fact that they always have plenty of sizes and colours available. It's probably the best highstreet clothing shop in town.
