Beer Garden?!
This place fooled me into buying a glass of wine (good) and then sitting in their beer garden (naff). Yes it's lovely to sit outside but this place has nothing more but a very large patio out back. Maybe it's my country roots but I just expected something a little more 'green' it this garden.
Not bad wine though and the staff were very friendly. Thumbs up there but just don't go if you fancy a sit outside, try one of the other pubs close by.

A nice BYO curry house
I went here the day before pay day for a friend’s birthday and thought it was really nice. We choose this place as it was on the cheaper side and bring your own booze (well it was just before pay day!). It proved to be a hit with me and the ladies I went with, excellent service and very tasty food, even if it is a little rich.
The only thing that would put me off this place is the day after affect; all three of us that went did have sensitive tummies after. Possibly due to the amount we ate but you never know.
Not really a posh place you would go but nice if you are on a budget, in the area and don't have to be in a small confined space the following day.

A jolly good night
I went here for the first time last Saturday and it was really fun. It's what you would expect from an East London bar on the trendy side of town. The music was a good mix of indie classics and the people there all seemed very friendly. There are 2 down sides to this place and both are really to be expected; high cost of drinks, £17 for 4 and the state of the toilets. Both of these things weren't great but didn't ruin the night. Worth it if you fancy a change of scene and want to try something new.

Fantastic Night Out!
I can't believe I have lived in London for years and have only just discovered this place. I can guaranty that if you are a little open minded you'll fall in love with this place like so many of us have. Since the smoking ban, they have installed a popcorn machine in the corner so cover the smell of sweaty dancers. The drinks are cheap and the entertainment entertaining. Burlesque dancing is a regular as well as comedy magic tricks and great music. They hold a host of themed fancy dress nights and every one there has put in 100% effort. I have not had a bad night here. Fun Fun Fun...

Great things come in small packages
I really like this bar as it's in an area that is getting increasingly commercial yet it still keeps its Hoxton charm (yes there is such a thing).
The cocktails are good the only down side is that the staff do take ages to make them, don't go in if your really thirsty.
It's a nice place to go with a small group of friends or even with a date. I think it would be a great venue for a party as they let you hire the whole of the downstairs for free - bargain!
Reasonably priced drinks for the area and a nice atmosphere.

Oh Dear!
I went to this place when I was visiting an old Uni friend. She said it was a great place to have a boogie (without sounding too much like my dad!) so we headed down there. Oh dear! This place was really quite horrid. The music was really loud and a terrible mix of pop and Rn'B but not the good stuff. The carpet was sticky and the drinks really expensive. Luckily we didn't have to pay to get it. Ladies can generally haggle on the price. The club was huge and the staff pretty friendly considering were they worked. I can imagine that this place is perfect for a hen night or even better for a stag evening but for me I think I'll pass. I feel quite sorry for the large catfish floating in a tank in the middle of the club too. Not fun for the fish me thinks...

The £3 Pizza Place
This is know as the £3 Pizza Place to me and all who know me. The food is fast and tasty and you can drizzle on as much chili oil as you like.
Mushroom I would recommend for the veggies and even though they are thin crust they are filling for what you pay. This is a good place to go if you are on a budget or in a rush. You can even take your family there. My dad loved it! He really loved me buying dinner too!
They shout out your name when your pizza is ready so make sure you give them something comedy to shout out. My favorite is Ms. Nachos.

Cheers for Beers
This place is lovely on a sunny afternoon as it has a huge beer garden. Officially the 'Biggest in Stokey', even if it isn't the prettiest.
The beer is a reasonable price and the Sunday roast is great value for money. They also do BBQs on the odd sunny weekend we get here in London. No its not glamorous but yes it is friendly and I would highly recommend it to any of my friends.

Review of TK Maxx

Great Shoes
I'm a girl brought up on T K Maxx. I remember my mum taking me here every summer and winter to kit me out with a new wardrobe as I'd grown out of the old one. Now I kind of see it as home, which is sad really, but I do love it. If you can handle the mess, as it can look a little like a jumble sale, I would recommend coming here for the shoes. If you have little feet, which I do, there is always a huge selection of crazy shoes that you have to have. They are often made well, out of leather not plastic and not too pricey either. I have even walked out of here with 3 pairs of shoes one time! If you are looking for winter boots and you don't mind them being a season out then come here about September and you'll find a huge selection.

Review of Clissold Park Cafe

Great Afternoon Tea
This place is great as its plonked right in the middle of Clissold Park and gives you the feeling that you've stepped out of London into a secret garden.
They do a wide selection of drinks, cakes and snacks and it's a great pit stop if your looking around the park (which has birds and goats in it!). The lake in the park is great although a little smelly in summer but you can spot the odd turtle which is fun.
I really would recommend this place but it does get busy. If you aren't child friendly I wouldn't go on a weekend, the yummy mummys of Stokey are out in force along with their babies.
