Review of Beauberry House

A bit odd
The setting an amazing 18th Century Mansion set in a gorgeous park land. Is this in Surrey...? Well it used to be, but now it is firmly in zone 3 South London. Only five minutes walk from Dulwich Picture Gallery it certainly adds to that day out in Dulwich. French and Asian fusion is the concept. I tends to work in the main. But there are gripes, these are that the main dining area looks like a set from a clockwork orange. Ikea has nothing on this place lit up with neon orange chairs and stark white wall. Disconcerting when trying to have a romantic meal. The privelege of an unomantic meal does not come cheaply either. Be prepared to pay around £60 per head. The other gripe is the staff who often give off a surly attitude which is not how best to retain your clientele. Perhaps new management (again) might help turn this once local authority builidng into the jewel it ought to be.
