Great fresh thai food 
I'm not a fan of thai food, having had one too many greasy, slimy pad thais in dodgy pubs. But we live down the road from this place and I was impressed with the reviews in the windows. Despite being in a really grim stretch of the Holloway Road, once you're inside it feels like an oasis of calm. The service is excellent (prawn crackers as soon as you sit down - good sign) and the menu is abseloutely huge. We had a beef salad to start with which was nice and fresh with a really tangy dressing. For main I had the lamb massoman - one of the specials - which was delicious and a very generous portion. The staff are happy to describe the dish, and very accommodating about making it less spicy or removing certain ingredients. This also suggests the food is cooked fresh, rather than using the generic pre-prepared curry sauces which I'd become accustomed to. I'd definitely go back to Nid Ting - and I don't even like Thai food!

Archway's best kept secret
Situated on the Archway roundabout, you're unlikely to stumble upon it, but this place is great. Lovely service, tastefully decorated and they don't hassle you if you sit for a while with a coffee and the Sunday papers (which they provide).
