cold 
whether it is becuase the walls are all glass and it is situated right on the river I have always found this place to be cold! The American/Mexican style food however, is good and plenty of choice and large portions. Booking is not possible and a buzzer system operates usually with a fairly long wait at peak times.

something different 
If you fancy a great laugh and a dance this is the place to go. Right in the middle of Reading town centre you arrive before 8pm to be seated for a couple of hours of live comedy. The floor is then cleared of tables and chairs, a bit like a wedding, and the disco starts. Mostly cheesey music but a great atmosphere until 2am.

what a hole! 
The last time I visited this place, prob 2 years ago, the floor was filthy and the bar staff very slow. Although the music is pretty varied with a big 'cheese' section half way through the evening, it is all pretty mainstream. The toilets leave a lot to be desired, if you can find a cubicle with a door on it there won't be a working lock and if you are lucky enough to find both you certainly won't find any paper in there!

good for parties
My daughter discovered this place when looking for a venue for her 21st. Formally a nightclub it has now been divided into two function rooms that can be hired for private parties with a nightclub atmosphere. The all in, reasonable price, includes bar staff, DJ and security, and cleaning afterwards. It is in the town centre so easily accessible. Access is possible early in the day to 'set up and decorate'. There are no age restrictions on guests either as it is hired privately so ideal for family functions.

A great place for meeting groups of friends before moving onto a 'later' venue. It is in the centre of town very close to the railway station. A really good atmosphere and modern decor and furnishings.

A very loud dance bar with a great choice of cocktails mostly including Vodka! For the most part it is a youngsters place however, for those of us that are young at heart if you fancy throwing some shapes it is a good place to go.

What a find this place is, from the outside it looks really small. A really welcoming atmosphere greets you and the bar staff are efficient and friendly. An extensive cocktail menu could keep you happy all night long. Downstairs there is a larger room with louder music and like upstairs comfy leather seating all around. The clientelle tend to be that little bit older in Sahara than in the majority of bars in the town.

A really nice place to eat on a lunch time, plenty of choices on the menu and a few sharing dishes. The staff are all really friendly and service is pretty good. As a bar in the evening it has a fantastic atomsphere with some comfy leather seating.

The staff here are very efficient and fast. A really good atmosphere with a really good mix of music. The decor is up to the minute with comfy seating. Upstairs you will find the main dance floor with seating booths around the edge of the floor.

can't stop going there
This is a great place for ladies that lunch as well as groups of friends. The selection of pizzas is extensive with some very different combinations. As a micro brewery they produce the beer on site although I have not had any, I prefer the house red, friends have said it is good.

classy
This is the place to go to if you want a classy meal. It is not the cheapest but the food is first class and the modern clean crisp decor surrounded by the water at Green Park makes it a great venue. There is live music regularly and if you don't want to eat from the main menu there is a cheaper set course option.

pricey!
Whilst the 'fishy' food is very good and well presented I find Loch Fyne a little on the pricey side as veggies need to be ordered seperatley in addition to the already slightly over priced main dishes. The service is very good and the rustic building over 3 floors is very nicely decorated and over looks the river. I find this to be cold in the winter months.

In my opinion the best Italian in Reading. In the centre of town over looking the river it is always busy. Great for ladies that lunch as well as an intimate meal for two. The food is always very good with plenty of choice. The breads are not to be missed. The decor is modern and comfortable.

hard seats..!
Although the food is very good, service very fast and prices not to bad the seating could be better. The decor is a modern cafe style with very uncomfortable chairs unless you get the benches along the walls however, these tables are very close together and you can hear your neighbours conversation as no doubt they can yours. As it is attached to the deli shop you have the option to make purchases also.

don't rip you off
I visited Zizzi on Valentines night and unlike other restaurants they didn't hike the prices up. Just the normal menu with some 'special options' very refreshing! It was packed with couples as you would expect and the service could not be faulted, very fast and the food as usual to a very high standard. The house red is worth a taste and very reasonably priced.

right in the centre of Reading ASK never disappoints. The service is excellant and the food is always freshly cooked in full view of the diners so you know its fresh. It gets busy quickly so you need to book at weekends especially. The decor is clean, crisp and modern.

This is a situated on the outskirts of the town centre and has a very loyal following. The food is of a very high standard and dishes are authentic Sardinian style and not to badly priced. The staff are friendly and efficient with a very welcoming atmosphere.

Having used this company several times through work I have used them many times for personal use. The drivers are always friendly and competant drivers. They have never let me down and always turned up when booked and have never let other people 'steal' my cab as many companys do.

yummy cocktail!
Although this restaurant is due to shut down next month it was packed with a great atmosphere. The meal ordered for eight people was spot on and service was very quick. To finish rather than have a pud try one of the cocktails 'Sneaky After 8' a creamy, chocolate, minty, alcoholic dream!
