Review of The Tower Thistle Hotel

Hotel
I'd recommend this hotel. 4 star accommodation with good views of the Tower Bridge or St. Kathrine's Dock. Had a room on 5th floor, looking over the Thames and Tower bridge. Room was really nice, very clean and had very comfortable bed. Bathrobes and slippers were provided. The hotel thought of all the things you might need whilst staying e.g. an umbrella in your room, iron, ironing board, tea & coffee making facilities, complimentary water, ice buckets (ice available on different floors), toiletries (soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion). The receptionists are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The bar overlooks the river and has a good atmosphere, they provide peanuts etc with drinks. Breakfast is buffet, but with everything you could want to eat. Went down at 08:00 no problems getting a table. Will be going back soon.

Review of Spar

Covenience Store??
ros Has a post office in the back. Large selection of convenience items. Good stand-in for when you can't get to a supermarket. Staff are helpful. Good location for those at the top of Brownlow hill.
Cons Can feel cluttered and small - sometimes can't find what you're looking for because things have become disorganised. Post office is small, you may have to queue for a while. Can be very busy through the day as it is based on university campus.

Review of Pizza Express Restaurants

pizzaaaa
Pizza Express is an excellent place to rest your bones if you've walked the length of the south bank.
The area it is in has narrow cobbled streets and just has something about it... Can't put my finger on it, but it's the perfect place to walk arm in arm at night, very comfortable.
The restaurant itself is the usual Pizza Express deal as far as the menu goes, a decent selection of thin based pizzas, pasta and salads. A chicken salad is always a decent meal - its large with good amounts of chicken - for those that baulk at the word "salad".
The interior of the place is warm and nicely decorated. The name seems to be the least designer thing going for it. The staff are good and very prompt... a bit more attentive; being further out from the centre of the city.

Review of The Blue Elephant

outstanding
Walking in to a Blue Elephant restaurant dazzles the senses. It is a world of lush plants and trickling fountains. The scent of tropical flowers mingles with the heady aroma of exotic herbs and spices flown in fresh from the Far East.
Blue Elephant not only offers the true authenticity in Thai cuisine in its restaurants but now it is also available to you in individual portions freshly prepared and ready to buy at take-away counters.
Thanks to their weekly deliveries of fresh products flown direct from Thailand, their new Blue Elephant Catering Section is able to provide the prestigious Royal Thai Cuisine at your disposal, when and wherever you feel tempted

Review of Royals

ok
Look I’m a Londoner so any restaurant pretending to serve a good “Ruby Murray (Curry in cockney rhyming slang) gets me alert and wanting to check it out. Indus Bangkok (Sukhumvit Soi 26) has been around for a while and tonight was the best chance to check it out.
Bangkok has a thriving Indian community and with that you’d expect a good dose of establishments serving amazing dishes, but in reality they don’t live up to the hype. I’m biased when it comes to proper Indian cuisine, having spent a fair chunk of time on the continent and also living in Europe’s grandest Indian street, Brick Lane, East London.
Upon entering Indus, you are greeted with stunning architecture and interior design. This isn’t some room pretending to be the Taj Mahal, but a well designed and intriguing atmosphere which adds to the vibe. Numerous awards are displayed to those who enter through the wooden doors and you are greeted by staff who actually look like they are happy to welcome you there.
The bar area is pleasant, but that’s not why we were there so a later review will happen on that aspect. The menu is the key part of this Indian experience, with Northern and Southern cuisine well represented. The dishes are reasonable priced, with your average being between 300 and 500 baht and each of the dishes did not disappoint at all.
In the end, Indus really does deliver a fantastic Indian meal. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a bleedin’ good ruby!
