Review of Ackers Academy/Diva

Beautiful hair 3*

I used to go to the academy when I was at college. The students were really good and were monitored closly by professional staff. As they were students the cost was really low but they did a very good job and I never walked away unhappy. The only thing was they took their time which meant I would be in the salon a long time.

If you are short of cash and want your hair done the academy side of the salon is the place to go.

On a day to day basis the salon offers a relaxing time with a chic modern interior including a bar and lunch area so you can chill out while you have your hair done. It can be a bit pricey but its worth it as they really look after you.

Review of Viaduct Tavern

cheap local 3*

This local pub has a good atmosphere and cheap meals. So if you just fancy a chin wags with a cheap bite to eat this is the place to go in Kidderminster

Oakey 3*

This was my local for years so I kind of have to be nice in a way.

It's nice enough with quite a few beers on offer. Sundays and Thursdays there are quizzes to keep everyone entertained and most evenings there’s some sporting event on the TV throughout the pub.

The food is not amazing but then it is brought in frozen so take that how you will.

Alright for meeting mates and just chilling out really.

Review of Three Nuns

The Three Nuns 4*

The Three Nuns is a great little place to hide away for a lazy sunday. It's one of those places thats nice and snug and quite chilled. Very local but not awckward. The food is great and the beer is very varied.

There is plenty of parking and it generally doesn't get too busy even at the weekends.

I definatley recomend this as a place to go just to chill out and chat or even watch sky sports on a lazy day.

Review of Nunnery Wood Sports Centre

Always avaliable 4*

Me and my dad always play badminton up here and we never have anything to complain about.

When it comes to booking the courts they always seem to have some available.

Good facilities otherwise with lots of other activities that become available throughout the summer. The staffs are friendly and if you have booked a court that is at the end of the night or that isn't booked out again they generally let u play over the time.

The prices aren't that bad considering it’s a bigger company that owns the group.

Review of Timberdine Harvester

Average 3*

This place is ok the locals sometimes bring the place down a little though with certain comment that have been made on the few times I have been there. However, if you can ignore them the place isn’t too bad.

It’s good for the summer because of the garden and if you want some food that’s not too bad either.

You get the basic menu which is packed with stuff and then with every meal there is a free salad bar to refill whenever you fancy.

Every now and then you hear that someone has had a bad experience but that goes for everywhere I guess.

Review of Charlies Cafe Bar

Breaky sarnies 4*

This cosy little cafe is great for sandwiches, particularly the breakfast ones.

The food menu is quite varied with specials including vegan and gluten options. Speciality tea cakes are good and eat in breakfast are a great hangover cure.

Its not bad price wise an egg, bacon and sausage sandwich will set you back about £3.50 and then a superman breakfast to eat in is about £7.

The service is fine they leave you be and everything is quite chilled.

Review of Worcester Reptiles

25 Apr 08, 11:57

Snakes, spiders and dragons 4*

As it’s the only place in Worcester that sells all the right things for reptiles then it has to be the best.

But it actually really is.

They are very helpful with help that is needed and everyone is always up for a chat about generally anything. Good prices that you don’t begrudge paying.

Really helpful and good customer service.

Review of Akaash

Not Amazing 2*

Been here a few times with a friends and have always come away with the same disappointment.

The decor and atmosphere is fine, just as expected of an Indian I suppose. You have to take your own beer / wine which is cool because u can get sloshed for cheep. The menu has plenty of choice and also has a good offer for a smaller set menu.

When they bring the food out it’s in steaming hot balti bowls that look empty and to be fair most of the dishes look empty. That’s the problem, not enough food for the money you pay. Also the taste isn't amazing and the meat always seems quite dry.

So if you want to go for the experience of an Indian then go for it but if you want to enjoy the food I really wouldn't bother.

Review of St Peters Garden Centre

25 Apr 08, 11:28

The Food 5*

For a garden centre you'd have thought it would be just good for plants and the like, well, it’s just amazing for food and drink.

As well as a wide variety of garden amenities at average prices the centre has an excellent restaurant that is open pretty much all day for lunch, snacks and some amazing tea cakes.

The portion sizes are just right and for special occasions like mothers day the restaurant creates a menu for everyone. Sundays are particularly good because the roasts are superb.

Top notch food suitable for everyone.
