Review of Tin Tin Cantonese Restaurant

Bring back the buffet!
Tin Tins are crazy! They used to do a week day lunch all you can eat buffet for £5 (or you could get a takeaway for £4) this was a regular Friday treat for my colleagues and I and then they stopped the offer! The food is good but the surroundings are only the standard of a buffet place, it's dated, dark and very basic so no way justifies the expensive full price menu.

Review of Oriental Star

Great Value!
The oriental star is a great all you can eat buffet, it’s no frills good value so popular with students. The daytime buffet is approximately £5, going up to a £10 after 5pm when they bring out the crispy duck. They also have a takeaway service allowing you to fill up a Tupperware from the buffet with all your favourites, this is probably the best option as it’s only about £5 and you can fit more than enough in the box.

Review of The Jade Chinese Restaurant

Cheap but not cheerful
I think their main trade is from takeaway, I've certainly never seen many people in here and you can understand why, the feel is more like grimey canteen than luxurious restaurant. I think there is an all you can eat deal on in the week (made to order not buffet) but the food isn't great so I don't think you'd manage much!

Review of Rainbow Restaurant

Needs a facelift
On the main drag of the high street this is usually busy which is perhaps why they've not felt the need to bring the place up to date. As a result it's not a very luxurious night out. They also do takeaway but it's quite a small place so people end up waiting around in the main restaurant which is a bit off putting. The food is ok, a bit on the greasy side.

Review of Henrys Cantonese Restaurant

Tasty Chinese!
I went to Henrys with 4 friends so we were able to sample a variety of dishes and they were all of a high standard, not too greasy. I would particularly recommend the prawn toast and the beef satay. It was about £20 / head and the service was good.
