Chaos at the cottage 
We travelled from chesterfield to this pub for my mum's birthday and wished we'd stayed at home. With the exception of a few dishes the food was terrible. To name but a few things: The mash potatoe was cold and tasteless and so was the soup, The gravy was like water, The vegetables for the dishes failed to turn up, The Lamb shoulder was all fat, The fish was full of bones and the batter was soggy, The cottage burger looked like charcoal and had a very strange veggie burger taste, We were waiting ages between courses. On a brighter note the service, (with exception to the landlady) was excellent. The waiters and waitress's were very helpful and polite despite our complaints. The landlady failed to attend to the situation in person but then made impolite remarks as we left the building. She did later appologise using her grandma's ill health as an excuse, (how original).
