It's rubbish now! 1*

Went here again for a family lunch and thought the place had reaaly lrt itself go.

The service was very poor, no greetings and poor customer service.

The food was even worse! Pre-packed rubbish, thet the chefs just "heat up". My wife got stale bread anf I got served the mankiest dried out piece of Lemon served with my rancid boney peice of Haddock!

Propper rubbish, won't go again!

Review of Hilton Cobham

Lovely stuff 5*

I stayed here with my wife and daughter as we were visiting Chessington world of adventures. Beautifull surroundings, really nice room all made a really relaxing stay.

The service from staff was second to none, the food was excellent in the hotel restaurant, even the breakfast was the best i'd ever had.

The hotel swimming pool was great, it had a Sauna, steam room and spa (all free to hotel guests)

Just all round brilliant, can't wait to go back again.

Review of The Plough Harvester

Good service - shame about the food 1*

I must say the service was very good and prices were reasonable.

Good kids menu and for 2 adults and a child with a drink cost us about £35.

The food isn't that good, The sirloin steak tasted more like a steak i'd use for stewing and everything is char-grilled even the burgers, I hate char-grilled stuff, all you end up tasting is charred meat for the rest of the night. The salad cart is good, but didn't seem cool enough to be left in the open all day and the chips were a bit ropey.

I said years ago, i'd never go back, and after going again, i'm never going back.

Review of Adventure Island

Free for parents 5*

What a really good day out. My daughter is two years old so we only had to buy one wristband for her and we could go on rides with her for free.. not the big rides, just the ones for toddlers... I enjoyed those rides, they didnt make me feel sick.

Food was expensive but McDonalds isnt far away. There were plenty of good rides for all ages.

We will be going again in the summer.

Review of Kozmic Karts

Great 4*

I went here for as part of a stag weekend. It was a good laugh, 6 teams of 3 in a 2 hour endurance race (we came 2nd... robbed)

Good circuit, good staff who gave us a full health & safety briefing before we started racing, good karts and great electronic lap time board. Safety was a priority second was fun.

Also had a nice little snack bar that served hot and cold food & drinks.

Review of Southend Pier Museum

02 May 08, 22:35

Yawn 1*

For under 3 quid, you get entrance to the Museum and a ride on the train to the end of the pier.

Honestly, it was boring. The museum had some good old pictures of the pier being built etc and some of the pier on fire... not exactly insping as we were about to board a train to the end of the pier (1 mile away) There was nothing down there either apart from a cafe, and some burnt bits of pier.

Review of The Blackpool Tower

Massive Turtles in the tower 5*

Not just a Tower you know, on the ground floor there's a big aquarium with loads of fish, massive turtles and sharks.

There's a ball room (with lots of OAPs dancing... saucy old devils), a circus with acrobats, big kids adventure play area and lots of those annoying grab machines (I won loads of Bagpusses)

Then the Tower lift is pretty good too, there's a glass floor at the top, I didn’t walk on it... it looked a bit knackered.

Review of Meadows Shopping Centre

29 Apr 08, 23:53

Good 4*

Great little shopping centre with loads of shops, shoes, clothes, books, perfume, handbags and a cookie shop along with a travel agents, hair dresser, opticians and a Chinese herbal medicine shop.

Parking can be a pain, but if your in the high street, its right on it.

Harvey centre = Great 4*

The Harvey centre, Harlow is a great little shopping centre everything from clothes to books, to music to food.

Nice food court area to eat some food and/or shelter from the rain.

Review of High Chelmer Shopping Centre

29 Apr 08, 23:36

Bit 70's 3*

Not a bad little shopping centre but I'd expect more from Chelmsford. The shops are all pretty good and they finally removed that horrible little butterflies cafe after they realised it look dated (it looked dated in the 70's)

The nearest car park is the Multi storey above the market, not the best car park, but if you can manage to fit your car in the very small spaces and still manage to climb out the car you only have the smell of wee in the staircase left to conquer. (or just take the lift)
