bunch of rasclarts 
Didn't like Ninian Park at all. Miserable ground, miserable weather (granted, not the club's fault!), rubbish facilities, rubbish food and you have to fend off people selling you fake burberry caps every five yards outside. New stadium they're building can't come quick enough.

Middle of the road
Always found Gap a bit over-priced when it comes to menswear. If all you're going to do is layer between 2 and 6 different coloured tshirts or polos over each other (which is clearly the only idea they have!) then why pay so much to do it? This branch does at least have free parking and is close to some better alternatives.

You'd think the Wetherspoons in Angel would try to up their game a bit given the standard of competition they face but it appears that's not the case. Only good thing to be said for this one is it's pretty much right opposite the tube station so you don't have far to go if you've got to get away.

Health and safety
Nice bloke that runs this place but I'm always a little worried about how often this place gets cleaned - it always seems a bit grimey. If this isn't a concern for you, and admitedly after a few drinks at the union it wasn't always a concern for me, then its a decent-ish takeaway.

Cult zero
I know this place has cult status amongst the local uni sports teams but it isn't a good curry house. Doesn't help itself by staying open for the 3am market but I'm certain my korma hadn't been anywhere near a chicken!

Walkonout
No sooner set foot in here on an away day up north and there are two rugby league meat heads going for each other and glasses flying everywhere. Walkabouts are rarely cultural meccas but this is the worst one I've been to. Surely better places to go... like away from Wigan.

Could do better
Must be relieved that All Sports (which was just over the road) is no more. Not a lot of choice here and I'm sure they could make better use of the floor space to get more in. I often wonder whether the people at JJB do their research... how many Spain away shirts do they think people require in Dorchester. Also, I don't support Portsmouth, Southampton or AFC Bournemouth but the fact you can't buy their shirts in the biggest sporting chain store within an hour's drive is pretty poor in my book.

Not great
It's a Wetherspoons, upstairs in a shopping centre. Not great but at least you know what you'll find on the menu. It's not so bad you'd never go there but with so many better places so close by you'd need a pretty good reason. One for when money's tight towards the end of the month.

Service without a smile
The food here is good - if generic and not very imaginative. What really lets this place down though is the staff. We arrived for our table which was not ready. Not only did we not receive and apology but we told to "wait" here by the door. Most places would offer a drink/nibbles by way of recompense but nothing here. Added to which the wine was massively over-priced and absolutely horrible. Avoid this place.

Better look elsewhere
Bob's Cars are the most expensive taxi firm in Dorchester. While I've never met any of their staff who've been anything less than polite the figure on the metre at the end of the journey means I always avoid them. You'll find much better value at the other taxi firms on Trinity Street.
