Review of Cardiff City Football Club

bunch of rasclarts 2*

Didn't like Ninian Park at all. Miserable ground, miserable weather (granted, not the club's fault!), rubbish facilities, rubbish food and you have to fend off people selling you fake burberry caps every five yards outside. New stadium they're building can't come quick enough.

Review of Millennium Stadium

One of the best 5*

One of the best stadiums I've ever been to. Seen Cup finals and charity shields here and there's not a bad seat in the place. Easy to get in and out of, helped by the fact they pedestrianise the nearby streets on match days. Brilliant for football and I'm told they play rugby here too.

Review of Bar Risa Jongleurs

best avoided 1*

Only reason you'd come here would be if you're a student and it was a Wednesday and even then you really should be looking elsewhere. Music is always rubbish, place is over run by local pikeys and kids who just want aggro. Cardiff's a great city with a lot to offer but this place is not part of that!

Review of The Wardrobe

14 May 08, 16:42

Good variety 4*

Lots of nice stuff in here and they change their stock quite regularly as well so you'll often find something new. Also close to other similar shops if you're putting an outfit together. Helpful staff as well who'll offer advice and suggestions if you want them.

Review of JJB Sports

up up and away 3*

Well located up an escalator to give it maximum floor space this is the biggest sports store in Cardiff. You'll find all the usual football, rugby shirts and trainers here, as well as kit for cricket, tennis and hockey. For the patriotic customer there's plenty of official Welsh gear as well.

Review of Flares

Night fever night fever... 3*

All your seventies classics but one of the stickiest dancefloors in Cardiff! If you have some John Travolta type fantasy to live out and are refusing to consider psychiatric help then this is the place to come!

Review of Liquid Nightclub

30 Apr 08, 10:55

Wide berth 1*

Don't even bother with Liquid. Even on student nights it wasn't that great and on weekends it is terrible. I swear they deliberately keep the heating on ridiculously high on purpose to shift more VK Ice. Places like this are even worse since the smoking ban came in as at least that used to cover up the over powering smell of sweat.

Review of The Gatekeeper

Pre Game 3*

Only ever went here before games at the Millenium Stadium but a great atmoshpere on those days and everything you'd normally expect from a Wetherspoons. Cheap, cheerful and drunken!

Review of Philharmonic Bar

Big Philly Style 4*

A must for a night out in Cardiff. Drunk on Funk used to be a great night but not sure if it still goes on. Even if it doesn't check this place out - smooth grooves, good choice of drinks and great if there's a big game on at the Millenium Stadium.

Review of The Yard

28 Apr 08, 18:30

Tres chic 4*

Classy bar with an uber modern feel to it and food and drink to match. Stands out on St Marys Street as you generally won't find any peroxide blondes being sick on the floor with a mini skirt around their waist. Upmarket without being too pretentious this is definitely somewhere you've got to go if you're in town.
