Great food.... 
Since the Cumberland has been refurbished it is now beautifully decorated throughout. Very modern in black's, red's and chrome's. We wnr for our Xmas work's do and even though they were cooking for the 5,000 the food was excellent! I haven't stayed so can't comment on the rooms but what I've seen is well worth a visit.

What a result! 
Ha ha ha... what an hour of fun I had in here. I was approached straight away which I didn't mind as I did actually need assistance. I have never bought furniture before so I knew I was going to enjoy the experience anyway. There was a sale on instore and everything I wanted luckily was in the sale, I managed to get another 10% off, then free warranty, then free delivery, then another £62 off to make it a nice round figure and ended up getting a saving of £1,826!!!!! If you don't ask you don't get!

Don't ever go! 
Curry's in Poole near Fleetsbridge is the worst place I have ever tried to spend money in. I went in hoping to buy a TV with cash and came out with nothing but a bubbly angry feeling in my gut. I had been in there 20 seconds when I was offered assisatcne. I said 'no' politely and 10 seconds later I was asked again. I said 'no' politely again and carried on to have a look. I was asked 9 times by 9 different members of staff and I even overheard them planning to ask me again as they could see I was getting annoyed. I complained to the manager and apologized that I would be taking my cash to PC World instead! I thought they worked on commission?????

Don't Bother!
Frankie and Benny's at Tower Park is a waste of time if you ask me. I was quite excited to go as 20 of us went for a Birthday party and I love the American style menu's but the food was sooooo expensive and very very poor! I went to the one in Southampton too years ago and was disappointed then. I had a horrible spaghetti but hoped it was just a bad choice. I chose something different this time and it was just as bad.

Review of The Curlew

Xmas Venue!
The Curlew near Parley Cross is a proper old pub and has the atmosphere of one too. The menu isn't vast but the food is excellent and homemade. I went here with the girls one Xmas and with all the lights, decorations and open fires, this was the perfect Xmas location for lunch.

Review of River Park Family Inn

Empty... 
What a shame. I remember when this place was called the River Park and it was always packed out with familes eating roasts and kids playing in the grounds. It is now called Twenty on the River and has had a major refurbishment. The decor is now very modern and although the menu looks great I have never seen anyone eat in there. In fact I have never seen anyone drink in there either. The staff are great but I think they should reconsider advertising!

Review of Dudsbury Golf Club

I don't actually play golf...
I don't actually play golf but this is such a beautiful place and if I did play golf this is where I'd come. Friends of mine play golf here and I come to meet them for drinks and food. Sean the chef does the best carvery on a sunday and the bar food is pretty good too. The views over the course and Bournemouth are great and they have spent alot of money on refurbing the posh restaurant.

Review of Splashdown Recreation Centres

Serious fun fun fun...
Splashdown really is the place to go for 2 hours of serious fun. It doesn't cost too much but the kids (and the adults) have a great time. There is numerous water slides and all of a different take. Small fast ones, gentle long ones, ones where you use your bum and ones where you use a ring!!! I love all of them but it's not for the faint hearted!

Careful...
I used to go here all the time and like the style of the plasce with real Caribean feel. There is a dance floor downstairs which I think i've hit a few times and it's open till early doors. I will advise you to watch your drinks in here especially as I'm almost certain I was spiked in the plce after stupidly leaving my drink on the bar whilst I went to the loo.

Local..
The Hop is in a great location for me as it's crawling distance. They have at least made some effort with a small smoking area with seats. The food is fairly priced and is actually very nice. The staff are always friendly and although it does get quite busy you nearly always manage to find a seat and table even.
