Chinese food at its best
This Chinese is found in the centre of town. I've only been there are during the evening but I believe it also caters for lunchtime diners. As well as Chinese meals there are some Thai dishes on the menu as well. They can accommodate large numbers of people and its great if you have a large round table. If your sharing a table for 2 next to this table it doesn't seem quite as intimate as you'd expect it to be. Prices aren't cheap but the service and food are delicious. A family run business which has been in Kettering quite a while now and to be honest my favourite Chinese in town.

Family eating pub
I find this pub very similar to the Milestone Parkhouse Pub in that it is a chain of pubs which mass produces food for families. The decor is nice and there are plenty of tables. The menu is varied but basic with light bites and childrens menus available. They have just had built a wooden veranda outside which will be nice to sit on in the summer and is non-smoking. You have to order your own food at the till and pay before it comes. Prices are cheap with some meals 2 for £10. All in all if you're looking for a cheap meal this is fine. Its also used by a lot of cinema goers as its opposite the cinema so gets busy at peak viewing times!

Modern Indian Restaurant
I've been to this restaurant several times know but I can't put my finger on way I don't like it. The food is OK, not brilliant, and the service can be slow or sometimes too fast...rushing you to have your main dish when you've only just finished your starter. The decor is bright and it is furnished modernly. It can get very busy at weekends as it is opposite the cinema in Kettering so it's advisable to book. To me it lacks the charm and charisma of a traditional indian restaurant - a shame as I love a good curry!

American/Italian Diner
This is a family orientated restaurant which is opposite the cinema in Kettering. The kitchen is open so you can see the chefs preparing the food whilst you wait. It can get very busy and its advisable to book especially at weekends or bank holidays. The menu is varied and the atmosphere is fun with Rat Pack music playing in the background. They even give you Italian lessons whilst powdering your nose. If you tell the staff its your birthday they will dim the lights and get everyone to sing happy birthday to you. A fun night out!

Excellent bistro pub
This is one of my favourite pubs - again its more of an eating establishment than a traditional pub. You are greeted and asked to take a seat in the bar whilst browsing the menu. After a while you are taken through to your table. Fresh bread is brought out whilst you await your starter and you can sip at some lovely wine from their extensive wine menu. The prices aren't cheap but the food really speaks for itself and I've never had a bad experience. The service is excellent and I always leave feeling full up and wanting to go back again!

A food pub!
This is my local pub and is more renowned for food than a drinking pub. The menu changes every 4-6 months and all day, every day is 2 for 1 so its relatively cheap to eat there - although when they introduced this they did put their prices up. The menu is varied but don't expect haute-cuisine food as its more likely to come out of a microwave. They accommodate children and have plenty of space and you are able to book in advance. Good pub/restaurant if you're looking for a cheap night out with the family

Fantastic Indian Restaurant
This is my favourite restaurant in Kettering. The food is superb and service is second to none, although if you have a takeaway on a weekend you tend to have to wait at least 1 hour - 1 and a half hours. The staff are extremely pleasant and they will change and mix dishes to your taste/liking. On a Tuesday they do a set menu for £10 or you can still pick from their extensive main menu. I've never had a dessert as I've always been too full but I've never had a bad meal. Would highly recommend.
