Review of Leon

The Best!
I loved everything about this place - everything!
I adore the food, the fact that it is empty a lot of the time really suits my nature of liking space, peace and somewhere to escape! The thing is, the streets of London are crazy enough as it is, and so many eating establishments seem to be even crazier, so this Leon was a real treat.
When I went here I felt like I knew a secret that everyone else didn't. It was busy as it was a Saturday, but it was so refreshing to go somewhere to eat that wasn't scarily busy. The chilled out atmosphere makes for a great lunch.
Ok, on to the food. The food is amazing, I love how fast simple and fresh it is. Good quality for a real steal. They do meals of varying sizes and cater for all food needs and allergies. It is so healthy and really well balanced.
I opted for the sweet potato falafel with brown rice pilaf and raw slaw - with a side of fresh real chicken nuggets. It was all to die for, I was so impressed at what my £10 got me.
I loved the shabby chic interior and the highlight was the super cool clashing colours and floral tiles in the bathroom! Plus the old tin can stools were pretty special.
Can you tell I am a fan?
I'll be going back for more very soon!

Review of Cafe Belge

Cafe Belge
Cafe Belge Canterbury is part of a small chain of mussel restaurants in the South East. It is famous for it''s offer of '50 different ways to eat mussels'. I must admit it is very impressive. The restaurant is located in the Westgate area of the town and is a real hide-away for locals, as tourists rarely venture this far down the high street. I have been twice and both times have been a real delight. The food is always very fresh and the portions are generous. despite the 50 ways to have mussels I normal opt for the old favorite of mussels in a cream, white wine and onion sauce - it never fails me. The mussels are always served with both bread and fries and though delicious it is always so filling. Cafe Belge does offer options that are not fish related for those who are not keen on seafood. They have a great menu for starters and also puddings, my personal fav being the Toblerone fondue. A big draw to Cafe Belge has to be their extensive range of Belgium beers. They offer the most extensive selection I have seen this side of the Channel. I would recommend sampling their strawberry beer or even the coconut - yummy! The staff are really friendly and always make you feel important and valued. On your first visit they offer you the chance to sample their more unusual beers for free - which is a nice touch. Overall a lovely little restaurant.
