Review of Mandarin Chinese Takeaway

As expected 3*

Good value this take away. The food is always freshly cooked and sometimes there is a bit of a wait on a saturday night. The staff are a bit grumpy but hey, who cares you only have to put up with then while you order ... and the prices make up for that. Try the Lemon chicken YUMMMY

Review of Stumbles Wine Bar

24 Apr 08, 11:42

special 5*

I love this bar. a bit out of place in South molton to be honest, but put on a nice pair of trousers and a nice shirt and you'll feel right at home. A real wine bar, nibbles and a drink. Clean, trendy and friendly. Love It

Review of Coffee & Gifts At 72

24 Apr 08, 11:40

I think its gone 1*

I have a feeling this place has now closed down. Although it was a lovely place ( we went there on many an occasion) no one ever really new it was there. I could be totally wrong about it being closed, but I thought I saw a for sale board out side when I drove past recently.

Review of Corn Dolly Tea Shop

24 Apr 08, 11:32

pull ur sox up .. put ur prices down! 2*

I used to love this quaint cafe. doylies, frilly napkins etc etc a real olde world tea shop where you could take ur mum for a sunday pot (YES POT) of tea. Unfortunately I think they're relying on their reputation too much these days. The waitresses are quite gloomy - perhaps 16 year old kids are not the right people to employ? As for the food, over generous portions, too much to eat, but i suppose thats how they justify the very high prices. 3 of us spent £37 on 3 sandwiches, 3 drinks and 3 pieces of cake. Sorry Corn Dolly, you need to pull ur socks up, and put your prices down

Review of Old Coaching Inn

24 Apr 08, 11:25

as expected 3*

Ive only ever been here once and it was ok ... huge bar area and trying to find the loo is a nightmare. they regularly have entertainment in this pub, from discos to Kareoke, quiz nights etc. exactly what South Molton needs. Judging by the photos all around the bar, the locals love it too

Review of Argyll Veterinary Clinic

24 Apr 08, 11:22

my pussy loves it 4*

I was well hacked off with my last vet so needed a change. These guys were recommended by a friend and are amazing. so friendly and they actually seem to care about the pets they see. I've never known a vet call me up to see how Jasper was getting on. I guess they are popular as they are always busy. Would recommend switching to then if ur unhappy with ur current vet.

Review of Cargo Self Storage

24 Apr 08, 11:18

wow i was surprised 5*

before i chose this place i look at a couple of other storage firm in the area. One was just a barn with cows piddling all over it, another was right on a main road and it took me forever to get away from it! This place is clean, modern, easy to get to but most of all its secure. It has 24hr survelence and I have my own key to get in during the day. safe secure, dry.

Review of Stowford Meadows Holiday Shop

non plussed 3*

ok so this is only a little place and has a captive audience. But I did find it pricey. Next time I will stock up before I come away on holiday.

Review of Muddiford Inn

24 Apr 08, 11:10

well worth the drive 5*

well worth the drive to get to this place. Plenty of parking, locally sourced food, freshly cooked. This place has a nice sized restaurant but also serve food in the bar - ideal durning winter when the log fire is blazing. Good basic pub grub and a great restaurant menu as well.

Review of Kentisbury Grange Holiday Park

24 Apr 08, 11:07

Centrally Placed for North Devon 4*

Probably one of the best locations to gram a caravan or pitch a tent in North Devon. On first glance it looks like ur in the middle of nowhere. Actually , you are ! BUT ur central for the best of North Devon ... Lynton and Lynmouth, combe Martin, Ilfracombe, Barnstaple and only 6 miles from the North Devon Link Road wich gives you access to Bideford, Bude and North Cornwall. The site has tent, caravan and static facilities. Running water, electricity, a bar and a shop PLUS entertainment during the summer.
