Review of Calvert Trust

A hidden treasure
This place is a rest bite home for the less fortunate and their families ( my sincere apologies if I have phrased that wrongly, I certainly do not intend to offend). Its an amazing place and wonderful to see those less fortunate having such a great time.
Not many people know that the swimming facilities at the Calvert Trust are actually open to the public - but you need to book ahead and there are no life guards provided.

nothing better
On a lovely sunny day, nothing better than to grab a pint form the local pub and sit in the sun and pass a lazy day watching the local teams putting willow to leather and the smell of linseed oil. Can life in North Devon get better than this?

Review of Johns Supermarket

Great place
I love the fact its called a supermarket .. not really, just a lovely old style village shop that sells everything. The sort of place you pop into to buy a loaf or a pint of milk. Best of all, its a place to catch up with the local gossip. really friendly staff, sometimes TOO friendly.

Review of Wayfarer Inn

Is this place ever open?
I have often found myself in Instow and have often seen this place on the seafront and often wanted to go in ... but I can never find it open. Perhaps Im just going at the wrong times. A real shame cos the menu looks stunning. fresh locally caught fish!! Oh well I'll keep trying.

surprised
im surprised this lovely place is listed as Itallian. Last time I went ( a couple of years ago) it was a French style place, but I guess it may have changed. Ample parking for whatever it is as its right by the car park. Food was lovely, nice quiet , intimate place --- maybe thats why its changed??

always good for a chat
get carols number in your mobile! You'll need it. For just a quick trip up or down the hill ... s trip into Barnstaple or Minehead ... or a trip to one of the UKs Airports, she does the lot. Carole or Ray, a family run local taxi service.

Review of M Oxenham

Mathew is a star
Matthew Oxemham ... what a star. Imagine Katweasle in charge of a fishing boat. Mathew is as mad as a hatter and will give you the best boating experience you will ever have. If you want to see the North Devon coastline form the sea side, head for Lynmouth Harbour and make a b line for Matt!

Review of Spinning Wheel Country Crafts

this IS the place to go
I agree with Sarah S totally. this is what a craft shop should be. locally made, lots "crafty" stuff to so you can make it yourself. OK so some of the stuff is a little over priced, but when you have something unique and of quality, I really dont care. Rather give my dad a handmade card than one from the card shop any day.

Review of Maria Floyd

good and reliable
Maria is well known in this area. reliable and pays great attention to detail - which is exactly what you want from an accountant. She would be my forst choice for everything financial. Highly recommend her, and have done to several friends.
