This was a great local attraction, sadly it closed a few years ago so you will have missed the delights of the Santa Run at christmas and Mrs Miggins Pie Shop

Review of Exmoor Zoological Park

an absolute must 
I love this place, local friendly and they actually care about the animals. OK so this isnt Longleat, but theres pleant of chance to get up close and personal with Penguins, Parrots and creepy crawlies. Well worth spending an afternoon. Maily out doors so can be a bit open if its raining. The cafe is good too, cheap and cheerful. Make sure you have a chat with the staff and they may let you feed some of the animals.
