Review of National Trust

National Trust
This place is at Heddons Mouth which is basically a pub, a river and a National Trust Shop. Loads of nicely over priced trinkets and curios. Well it IS a captive audience. Basically, if youve ever been into a National Trust shop, you'll know exactly what to expect.

exactly what you'd expect
look, small village shops are buy theire very nature more expensive that the big town supermarkets ... but hey they are there for the convenience of the locals when you run out of milk or need a loaf. Great thing is that this shop has at a Post Office in it too.

Hit n Miss
This place really does take some finding. And to be honest, they really do have a captive audience. Unfortunately, the meals tend to be bland and uninteresting and over priced. But thats what you get when there's no where else to go! At least the Peacocks are nice to look at!

FOOD!!
Parracombe really is the middle of no where BUT seek out this local village pub and you have found a real gem. Real ales, local brews and food to die for. If you like your pies you MUST try the Steak and Seaweed pie, yes I know it sounds aweful, but believe me .... you'll have it next time you go back. All food is locally made and freshly cooked, so at busy times you may have a wait ...
