Not Just A Convenience Store 
I regularly use this village shop not only for its wide range of everyday groceries, but also for the wide range Post Office services, the staff are incredibly friendly and knowlegable of all the sevices the PO has to offer. a local PO right on my doorstep means less trips into the town centre saving me money and saving the enviroment.

Hotel and Bar 
Have stayed at this budget price hotel on a few occasions. Pretty basic rooms. Bars are good and the location is walking distance to the town centre. If you're looking for somewhere cheap to rest your weary head this is the place ... but dont expect the Ritz!

Yum!! 
This is Barnstaples best Chinesse takeaway. Good prices and good tasty food. The service is fast and friendly. Probably best to phone in your orders first as sometimes there can be a little wait if they are busy particularly on a Friday and Saturday night.

Recently re-vamped cinema. Now 5 screens. All the latest movies and Special screening of classic movies too. friendly staff too. avoid disappointment by booking on-line and collecting ur tkx from the machine inside the foyer.

Beam Me Up Scotty
A collectors heaven. Whatever TV show or Movie you are into (Buffy, Star Trek, Yu-Gi-Oh, Star Wars, 007) you name it and the memorabilia willl be in here.They also do all the collectors cards - Yu-Gi, Dr.Who, Dragonball etc etc. A little boys dream! (and bigger boys too).

A Breath of Fresh Air
Love this place .. great food, pool and live music. What more could you want? child friendly too. often spend time there with the whole family. the sunday carvery is to die for. The venue is modern , clean and airy. For really small kids there's a huge FREE soft play area at the back of the building.

Greasy Fry Up 
the title says it all really, even the tea has a layer of grease on it. If ur a trucker you'll love it ... they do a great fry-up. Very basic, reminiscent of the cafes of the 70s

Something out of the ordinary
Fancy an unusual flavour milkshake (cinnamon, coconut, caramel) or a nice panini .... this is the place. Small, intimate not the place for a secret rendezvous. Food is great, service is excellent, staff are friendly.

Expected more 
Have only used them once. Car needed MOT. MOT failed but needed to take vehicle to another garage for the work to be done .. I had hoped the one garage could do all i needed. shame they did not make this clear at the time

Trip back in time
Great service, family owned and that shows in the detail. Tea and fancies in the old traditional way ... tealeaves and a tea pot! Homemade Scones, jam and cream YUM Devonshire Cream Teas
