Bargain Bottles 
So you need a bottle of something wet? Who you gonna call? Moorside Bottle Shop thats who! And the best thing about their bottles is the booze inside them! LOL Yes, it's a great locally run offie with a good selection of wine, beer and spirits at reasonable but not crazy prices. Check it.

Late Opening
You cant criticise this place's opening hours they definitely live up to their name and it's particularly useful on a Sunday when everywhere else is closed its open til about 10 so you wont be caught out with nothing in the fridge (which happens to me quite often!)

Good Honest Chippy
This is one fantastic chippy - they do the BEST chip butties ever!! lol Just try it if you dont believe me. They also do great battered sausages and they seem really friendly and nice. Recommended.

Do something good and shop here - it's a great local cause and the ladies who run this shop are lovely and really friendly you will get a bargain and feel really good about yourself for helping a local charity at the same time. Nice.

Convenient Store 
This is a shop on the slope walking up to the train station at Piccadilly and they do a good selection of sandwiches which I always pick for my trip - cheaper than on the train anyway!

Average Pizzas
There's nothing special about this pizza takeaway. Adequate, but not amazing. The 4 cheese one I had was well cooked but the base was a bit cardboardy however it seems reasonably clean and nice inside.

Furnishings Are Ravishing
This is a really nice shop with friendly staff who will help you find exactly what you are looking for in the world of soft furnishings. I think they are a local company too which is good - I found some lovely red cushions here which I was most pleased with.
