The Terrace 4*

Lovely restaurant actually in Lincoln Inn Fields. The setting is in a wooden hut. A little bit different food is great a real dining experience.

Nags Head 3*

Looks small from the outside but is actually quite big. Traditional London pub. Nice atmosphere quite busy. Good place for a pre cinema drink.

Review of The Boathouse

The Boathouse Putney 3*

Looks like a quality place to eat if you want a restaurant but for an office lunch break we had a choice of just three sandwiches. (This was in the summer so the memu could have grown). Great location on the river, nice views and away from the road for a bit of quiet. The bar is smallish but the outside area at least doubles the space for the warmer months. The restaurant is on the upper level looks high quality, posh decor and smart staff. I rated three with a lunch break pub/bar venue in mind, I guess it would score better as a evening bar or restaurant.

Review of Egg

Egg 3*

Large nightclub on a multitude of different floors all in different styles. This is a great exhibition space and place for a large event. There is also outside space , a little out of the way and you might think you had headed in the wrong direction whilst heading up York Way.

Review of The Wellington

The Wellington, 2*

Large pub on the corner by Waterloo Bridge. Bad service but ok if you're popping in before a show. Average beer. The fish and chips are apparently good.

Review of Londesborough

13 May 07, 23:59

The Londesborough 4*

Lovely gastro pub serving food and drink. Great foods and wine and the beer is fairly good too. Choices from the usual larger and some real ales. An excellent choice of a Sunday afternoon. Tucked away off main roads its busy inside on the weekend. An outside area is shady in the summer and gas heaters warm the area as it gets cold.

Review of Rong Hua City

12 May 07, 19:52

Rong Hua City Chinese, Malaysian and Thai food 3*

Lots of choice for a take away, delivery or eat in meal. 6 set meals, the one for 2 people with aromatic duck, sweet & sour chicken, prawn & green pepper with black bean sauce and egg fried rice for £10.50 is great value and our favourite. Delivery can be slow in busy times. Cheques taken with a bankers card. Good value; Free delivery over £5, free prawn crackers over £10, 2 cans of drink over £16, bottle of drink over £20 and a free dish if you spend over £28.

Review of Bam Bou

12 May 07, 09:21

BamBou 4*

Lovley modern Asian restaurant in the busy Charlotte street srea of bars and restaurants. This has many floors with a rsetaurant on the Grd floor and 1st floor, 2 function rooms on the second floor and a bar on the third floor serving cocktails. The decor is very dark and dusty with lots of Asian furniture and paintings on the walls. Function set menu is really good value, £12.00 for 5 courses.

Review of The Clink Prison Museum

11 May 07, 16:48

The Clink Prision 3*

London Dungeon style museum showing the horrors of imprisonment in the past. Fairly interesting and just about worth the £5 entrance fee. Better for kids or light interest for adult as the emphasis is more on mannequins rather than information. Available for privet hire , great for this the party I went to was great fun!

Review of Carling Apollo Hammersmith

10 May 07, 18:29

Carling Apollo Hammersmith 4*

Large music venue , also shows comedy gigs. I've been here plenty of times and had always had fun. Most recently seen Tenacious D, which was very funny. The floor gently slopes to the front so it's easier to get a good view. It does get a bit congested entering and leaving as the capacity is large and getting a drink can take a while as there is one small bar down stairs which you have to leave the auditorium to visit. Remember to keep you ticket or they wont let you back. Upstairs the bar is bigger but still very busy before things start or in any intermissions. It's best to pop out quickly during the show. Wider range of drinks than most London venues but still slightly more than pup prices.
