Review of Mother Mash

Traditional, top quality food at its best.
A fantastic spot for comforting lunch or dinner - perfect in winter! The cafe part is quite small - 5 x 6 seater booths and a few counter seats, but the wait is worth it if you don't want take-away.
Ordering takes the form of picking your choice of sausage or mash, a type of mash potato (from plain through cheesy and champ), and then your pick of gravy (again offering a wide choice).
They also do some great bacon sarnies for breakfast! Do yourself a favour and get yourself a meal from Mother Mash. You certainly won't regret it.

Review of Cineworld West India Quay

There's better and there's worse
A good cinema with 10 screens, a lineup of films which doesn't stretch any boundaries (typically limited to those big names on general release), and a bar for pre/post film drinks. Being my local cinema, I find it convienient, but it does have a few negative points.
The MAJOR annoyance I find is the local teens that tend to watch films here. They just dont know how to keep their mouths closed or phones turned off, and its on more than one occasion ruined a film. As KevinD also says, they're always trying to get in for free. Seats and footwells are generally clean, but seating could be a tad more comfortable. Its acceptible for a typical hour and a halfs showing, but longer films tend to see you shifting in your seat far too much. A multi-story car park lies next door, and the DLR stops at West India Quay which is 5 minutes walk away.

Review of Taylor Taylor London

Warm, relaxed, professional atmosphere
A salon split over two floors, within 5 minutes walking distance of Liverpool Street station, this place has it all - experienced, down-to-earth stylists, working in a environment lifted from a previous, opulant, era, complete with a pair of lovebirds in the foyer.
A friendly welcome awaits you, followed by your choice of drink from the bar, and then its down to the usual business of having your hair styled. A full rinse and head massage takes place in their golden room, and then its off to one of the chairs for a chat and a cut.
I found this place after following my stylist from her previous salon. Its on par with professionalism with other salons in London - however, the quirkiness and friendiness of the place gives it an edge in my opinion.
They also do a wide range of beauty treatments and papmerings for the ladies.

Review of Soba

Good food, great price
Here's a restaurant you can guarantee a good plate of noodles, complete with fresh ingrediants, at an honest price. They serve quality dishes, be it a huge bowl of soup, stir-fried noodles, or boiled/stir-fried rice, in a style to suit you - in under 10 minutes.
The restaurant itself is a little unusual - a sort of corrugated wall industrial look, filled with communal benches - minimalist in design but it works brilliantly given the Japanese feel they have tried to create.
Given a choice of this or Wagamamas, I'd choose Soba every time.

Review of Bodeans BBQ

Watching the figure? Avoid!!
Only ever been here for lunch - but I've never been disapointed. The place is always pretty much rammed full of eager bodies feasting on the sort of quality meat that is hard to find elsewhere - especially at this price and speed!
You're guaranteed a slab of (or in the case of the exuqisite pulled-pork, shredded) meat which won't touch the sides as you scoff it down. Throw in a some chips, some dips, and a drink, and you've got a great meal which is bound to make you sleepy in the afternoon. Vegetables are largely unheard of in this place, and rightly so! Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to some Bodeans action - you know it makes sense.
