Stylishly upmarket 
This place takes its name from the fact that it's in what used to be part of the Bournemouth Echo. The bar's a good place for a drink (standy for the credit card to take a pounding, though) and the food and service in the restaurant is excellent.

For a really upmarket meal
This is a seriously classy place - so don't expect anything cheap or quick. If you fancy going upmarket, for top-class food in a stylish surrounding, this is the place for you.

Perfect Chinese takeaway 
It's a really good takeaway, good value (and yes they throw the prawn crackers in for free if you're spending enough), really quick service and they're friendly too.

Closed down 
Webbs has closed down now. At the time of writing (April 08) the premises are still up for a new lease, not sure what's going to be there instead but with the other convenience store up the road I don't think it's going to be another newsagents.

Nice atmosphere but pricey 
Good place to come for Sunday brunch, space to spread out the papers and tuck into a nice omlette and toast without getting hassled. Friendly service. Quite expensive.

Perfect place to go - the old Tally Ho
This is the pub that used to be the Tally Ho, just on the bend in the road before you head from Berkshire into Hampshire and up towards Eversley. It's really good - excellent food and service, and if you've got children to feed, they'll make them really welcome. Book in advance because it gets very busy.

Good local pub
Just down a bit from the cricket ground, this doubles up as a good pub with plenty of little corners to hide away, and also a restaurant in a separate area which is very good value.

Great village shop
It's in Eversley not in Hook as the address on the entry says. It's a really good little village shop serving the local area with papers, magazines, food and emergency supplies.

They deliver
This place is the local newsagent for large parts of Lower Earley, they deliver for fairly good rates, and inside they've got a good range of sweets, cards, magazines and newspapers.

Cheap and convenient
It's a good place to drop into if you need feeding in a rush, they'll look after you in there and the food's OK. It's not the best around, but it does the job.
