Busy 
Just before you get into Wokingham as you're coming in from the A329(M) is this fairly big Shell garage, it's well stocked inside the shop and the price is a bit below average for the area.

This is the petrol station just before you get to the railway bridge as you're heading south out of Wokingham, it's normally not too crowded, possibly because it's fairly expensive. Staff are OK but should wash more.

Review of Pizza Express Restaurants

You know what you're going to get
Pizza Express is a good old standby if you can't think where to go with a friend or with the family. It's great to have one in Wokingham, if you're lucky you can park on the street right outside (if not there's parking behind the Post Office round the other side of the one way system). It gets surprisingly busy in here, and the staff are friendly with the food arriving promptly at a decent price.

Good fun
I'm not sure exactly who Fat Face are aiming at, I've got a feeling it might be people a lot younger than me, but I still love it in here, and so do my children. Inventive range and although the prices sometimes seem a bit much, it's quality stuff.

They squeeze everything into here
This is just a great, massive hardware shop - it's actually not that big in terms of size, but they manage to cram so much into it. And the staff always know where everything is, which is just as well. Great value too.

Good traditional store
I used these guys to repair my watch a little while ago, they were helpful when I took it in, and they did exactly what they promised. It feels like a store that's been around forever, and it's not on the main streets so easy to miss (it's just around the corner from Boots and the shoe shop).

Good range in this branch
Woolworths is a pretty good general store, by and large, and this branch in Wokingham is particularly good, with a great selection of homeware stuff in particular.

Great fast food
I know Dominos isn't everyone's cup of tea but I think this branch of the pizza place is really good. The service was helpful, we ordered by phone, went round to pick up at the time we were given, and it was all there, ready for us to collect. And the quality of the pizzas was excellent.

Great supermarket
Parking can be busy here as its central to Wokingham but it's an excellent store with a really big range of stuff. Also sells flowers and newspapers. One of the best Waitrose around.

Lots of stock
Easy to find the stuff you need from the categorised catalogues. Service is quick, they've got one of those machines which means you can pay by credit card and get the order placed automatically without having to queue for someone at the tills.

Good range
This is a great branch of Tescos, it's not 24 hours but it's open until late in the evening, with a good choice of food and home goods. Parking is easy (although it does get busy at the weekend so you might have a long walk to the car). Doesn't have much in the way of clothes etc - the Camberley branch is bigger and better for that, but its fine as a supermarket.

Pretty good
This is a decent sized library with a good range, well laid out and definitely child-friendly (which I think is essential for a library), and the staff are helpful. Parking just outside in the public car park, although it can get busy at weekends.

This is the one just by the Coppid Beach roundabout and it's closed down now. There's a big sign out the front (April 08) saying it's going to turn into a Loch Fyne, which will be nice.

Reliable and friendly
Caffe Nero is in the middle of Wokingham and gets busy mid-morning at the weekends. The staff are always happy and friendly, it's well laid-out and the coffee's great.

Good bowling experience
Big Apple is in the place where years ago there used to be a Mexican restaurant - near to the swimming pool and Burger King.
It's a good bowling place, the service is good and if there's a problem with one of the lanes getting jammed, they'll help you quickly.
It's not that cheap, though, and it gets busy with birthday parties at the weekend.

Great Italian food 
I've never been disappointed in this Prezzo, it's got a great atmosphere - gets really busy even mid-week - and the food and service are excellent. Best place to eat out in Wokingham, I think.

An old favourite
Don't know how long the Ship has been in Wokingham but it gives the impression that it's been there forever. It's one of the busiest pubs in town and is well worth a visit if you've never been before.

Full of corners
If you want a pub where every corner of the place has a different feel and there are plenty of different places to hide away with your mates, this could be the one for you. Easy to park and not hard to find between Barkham and Wokingham.

Much improved
If you remember the Two Pops from years ago as being a bit down-at-heel, it's worth trying it again, it's been refurbished and is a much nicer place now, including big TV for sports if you want somewhere to watch the football.
