Review of Cunning Man

pretty
The Cunning Man is a pretty pub with a very big garden on the canal. It is a part of the vintage inn chain so the food is good value for money. The service is generally very quick and usually with a smile.

Review of Elm Tree

tasty food
The Elm Tree is a very pretty pub with a very good menu, the food is all very tasty and service quickly with a smile. The pub has been very well looked after but if you just want a drink then the decked area is a very nice spot to watch the world go by.

Review of Shoulder Of Mutton

well worth a visit
The Shoulder of Mutton is a wonderful pub especially for food. The service is amazing and the menu is really good, everything has its own special description that is worth taking the time to read - I dare you to try the plate of nothing (the most expensive dish on the menu!!) great with friends or just for a dinner for 2!

Review of Cricketers
06 May 08, 16:56
Beer or wine with dinner?
The Cricketers is right on the Cricket Green in Hartley Wintney. It was taken over last summer and is now more a restaurant than pub but the food is fantastic (a bit pricy) but this is always a favourite on a sunny Sunday to get a drink (and a pudding) and sit on the green to watch the cricket.

Review of The Fox & Hound

Beer, garden what more do you nede on a sunny day?
The Fox and Hounds is just outside of Fleet Town Centre but the spot couldn't be better, the pub itself is pretty good but the staff are always helpful but best of all is the garden, as it is right on the canal, it makes for a really relaxing afternoon on a sunny day. Watch out though as it can get really very busy!

Review of Crookham Village Stores
28 Apr 08, 13:53
very handy
The village store is very handy to anyone in Church Crookham, it is very small but it really has a bit of everything and it is easy to get to with parking outside. I have a walk down the canal to get here so it is even better!

Review of Wok This Way

Prawn Crackers?
Wok This Way is a very nice chinese restaurant in Hartley Wintney, just off the A30. It is a little expensive and really is an eat in restaurant rather than a take away. The service is fantastic and the food is very tasty, it can get very busy so it is worth booking in advance.

Review of Blubeckers Eating House
28 Apr 08, 10:12
Tasty food with a view
This is a part of the Blubeckers chain of restaurants so you know what you are getting. The food is always good (especially the Brownies and Baileys pudding!) and this has to be one of their prettiest restaurants. It is set in an old Mill House in Odiham and is just stunning, always worth a visit.

Review of The Waterwitch

Right on the Basingstoke Canal
This pub is perfect for a summers day. It is right on the Basingstoke Canal and has a stunning garden just perfect for relaxing on a hot and sunny day. They have a very good selection of drinks and make tasty meals. They are quite reasonably priced and the service is generally quick but it can get very crowded.

Review of Thorpe Park

It's a Scream!!
Thorpe Park is just brilliant!! The rides are all fantastic, I always head straight for the fastest ride there! Yes ok, you do have to queue, but I would say it is worth the wait. The best still has to be coloussus with all the loops but the detonator and stelth come in a close second. Dont go on tidal wave and expect to stay dry, I would recommend this early on so you have time to dry off, in fact follow it with coloussus and you might dry off a bit quicker. I had my hen day here and it was just perfect (I am still amazed my mother in law came on the fast rides as she is scared of heights, but she did, and we have the photos to prove it). For something a bit quieter try visiting the wild west and having you photo taken as a coyboy and bar girl, it is a bit of fancy dress fun! Or you could go for a ride on the steamer, and of course there is always the teacups!
