Hectic but tasty
Serves pretty decent panini's for a lunchtime nibble with a pretty excellent selection of fillings.
It's very much a conveyor belt with however with the staff working flat out to shift you in and out as quickly as poissible, although given the tiny size of the shop and the number of customers at lunch times this is understandable.
The quality of the food and speedy service was a plesant suprise and a nice alternative to the pricey and nearby EAT.
They also serve pasta and lasagne and other dishes which look good, however I've not tried these.

Pretty decent
Nice food, decent beers, chilled out and vaguely modern atmosphere.
This is my local work pub so gets frequented quite often.
The layout is welcoming to small meetings which is a change, and it's not overly busy and is quite quiet most of the time.
Staff are friendly and they also offer some interesting and tasty cocktails.

Review of The Crown Tavern

Nice and cosy with decent draught beers
This little pub is popular, but bigger than you expect inside thanks to the inside snaking back into the building quite a distance.
The beers are pretty good and probably just under the Central London average for a pint. They do some interesting guest beers too and a few fruit beers which are a refreshing change.
The food is also excellent from what little I've had, cheapish and decent pub food such as a steak sandwich with chips would set you back £7 quid or so.
Be warned that at 'peak' times, say after work on a Friday, it can get very busy around this area with people spilling out into the streets.

Completely useless staff
Popped here for a work lunch, the drinks took a good 10 mins followed by our pretty simple couple of burgers food order that took another 20 minutes.
My burger was completely mixed up (literally, wrong burger in the wrong bap) with a collegues, I ate mine out of not wishing to wait any longer but believe me a Piri-Piri Ceasar burger is not something you would choose to order out of choice.
Payment was again attrocious with them charging the wrong amount to the wrong cards and so on, paying alone took 40 minutes or there abouts.
When you're charging £3.80 a pint you at least expect the staff to be able to add up.
Avoid.

Review of Barclays Bank PLC

Bring a tent and change of clothes
'Popped' in to make a minor transfer, spent 20 minutes in the queue to be told I had to see a personal banker, there were 3 people waiting and one personal banker available.
The one person infront of me spent 55 minutes applying for a credit card (being slowly talked through each step) only to be turned down and leave the branch.
Quite frankly spending an hour and a half just to make a very simple transaction at 2pm is just utterly stupid.
Get some more staff. Stop spending an hour with complete time wasters.
it should be noted that this is not the standard among barclays branches, which is normally very high from my experience.

Nice soup, pricey
Getting lunch from here quite a bit recently as it's close to work. The the sandwiches are pretty decent and the soups range from being very tasty to distinctly odd.
The only downside is the speed in which you're forced to make your purchase (due to the numbers of people they herd you in and out at a suprising speed) and the cost, which is comparable to larger lunchtime grub at most other places.
A tub of soup, some bread, drink and a bit of fruit can be six quid, which makes this an occasional 'lack of time' lunchtime option only.
