Proof that independent is best 
Boots and the like may be in abundance, but this pharmacy goes to prove that you can't beat your local.
The staff in here are always friendly, they don't mind if you pop in for a bit of advice without necessarily buying something and the pharmacist will tell you what is best for you and your wallet.

A Hidden Gem
This is a old country character pub with a charming atmosphere. Sunday dinner here is a must. The food is home cooked to order, they don't skimp on the portions and at £7.95 for dinner, it's a bargain.
The best tip I can give though is arrive early. Once you've squeezed into the tiny car park, trying to find a table can be an olympic event. It's more than worth the wait though and is perfect for all of the family.

Worth the BB-Queue!
This place is always packed and for good reason.
Upstairs there is the counter service restaurant with bar style seating and US sports on large TVs.
There's a wide-range of menu options from ribs, to sandwiches, to the burgers. The portions are a plenty and I can't figure out what it is that they add to the the fries, but they taste delicious. There's also free refills on soft drinks.
Downstairs is a more formal restaurant that's equally as good and less noisy but tables are at a premium unless you've already booked.
