when i used to go in here it reminded me of little old ladies sitting in a rocking chair knitting the day away. A great shop if you wanted something in the needlework line.. but alass it is no longer trading.. the sign of the times i am afraid for small specialist shops

no meat on their bone!
yet again another one that has bitten the dust and had to close as it couldn't compete witht he supermarkets and thier cheaper meat. Such a shame as it was a good shop, though most of the butchers were in a different street, so maybe they lost out on location aswell

Not there anymore
If you are a record buff this was the place to go to look through all their vinyl stock and source some great tunes that you had forgotten about. Downloading nowdays is a good thing but then shops like this can't compete can they?

not a good un i am afraid
ever since Carina and her hubby sold this it seems to have gone down hill. It's tried to go local to residents in Pilton but I think they have missed the boat.. need to geta more welcoming atmosphere

I was gutted when this shop closed down. It wasa great shop that had some really cool surfy type clothes that any age could wear.. think they suffered a bit when a big surfy chain came into the this retail village. Such a shame as I love the label

not liking this place atal.. i suppose for the market traders it serves a purpose of somehwre to get a cup of something that pretends to be tea. I really don't know how they keep going as there are so many other places so much better than here 2 minutes away

why oh why
why is this shop here?.They do not stock half of what is in the main store in high street and are trying to compete with the supermarket next door that has a pharmacy side. When i was in there yesterday the staff didn't really know what they stocked and if they did what shelf it would be on!

Haven't been here for a while but that is for a reason.. it's a hole / dive and should never be trading. It trys to pass as a disco but only seems to encourage kinds and not a place many people would feel comfortable in.

This shop has gone, but as with the other reviews I am rather glad as i used to go in there being lead by the advertising that they were cheaper but they are not ( or were not ) Rather tacky stuff... but then that is probably why they have gone out of business

Kivells are not trading any more in Bideford. They do have offices in other towns and are primarliy agnets that deal with farms and land. Very old fashioned, which is not a bad thing.. but spealise in the framing an auction side, so run of mill houses don't sell as quickly with them as the other agents

soooo small
This agency run by Jon parry is literally a one man band with a ldy secretary. Jon belives he only wants a small share of the market place and i can imaginge he will always struggle agianst the bigger estate agents in town. Would you sell with them? .. well you get alot of individual attention but are they going to attract the buyers as they are so small??? though in Jon's defence he has been in this line of business along time and has good sales systems set up

This company hasn't been trading this long and i am not trusting them to have the experience to do this type of work . Chris is a one man band that used to be a shipwright at the shipyard and doesn't have that much experience with joinery compaired to other companies. Make sure you get a quote from someone else just incase!

cobblers the lot ....
There are two coblers and keys shops in Bideford and this is not my first shop to choose. I took my boots in for tips on the heels and got totally ripped off. One of them was on wonky which i had to ask him to re do and for 4 tips i got charged £9.68 and then was short changed! Not somewhere i would recommend.. sorry

Greasey spoon down market
umm not somewhere i would like to visit , unless there was no other food pplace open and i was so very hungry.. ( though a diet would always be an option ) The one time i ventured in there it was awful, smelly and very greasey.. yuk

not a builder i would trust with my enemies house... He is no sherrif and would look better with a stetson and in a bar brawl. Harsh words i know but i have worked in this industry and would not trust this company to do any work for me atal Please think twice before you employ this man,, there are hundreds of better companies around.

hate this place
I am sorry to say but the best verb to describe this place is: Cattle Market ( okay i know that is not a verb.. but you get my gist ) I worry that so many people get in, that are under age, and come out steaming drunk.. I was young once and used to love drinking to max.. but hated this place and would not go there as expensive to get in, hot when in there, over crowded, crap music, uncooled drinks.. need i go on! Mums / Dads keep your kids away from here!

such a shame as when i went in there once i was met by a lady who was rather rude to me and that really put me off. So this is not a place i would recommend, though i apologise if she no longer works there
