Lovely bakery that serves the good public of Torrington. If i am in the area and need a feed i do tend to call in here and am always met with a smiling face which is lovely.

great local shop
For residents of westward Ho! this is the place to get your bakery items. The staff are great and do like to chat but thats good as it makes you feel special. Yes in the summer there are alot of tourists around but they possibly won't mind if they share the floor with us locals

rather tasy
This is a favourite shop of all the bakeries in town and they do stock areally good selection of savoury snacks. Staff are nice ehre and have been there a while so get to know the regulars, which is nice and personal

Set the other end of town from the main comp which is in their favour as they are quite pricey as one reviwer has said and even though cakes are cakes and they probably taste the same it does make a difference when this shop charges 50p or so more for thier goods

great hunger stop
If you are shopping this is a place thats lures me in to kepp the family quiet with a quick fix of a sauage roll / sandwhich and chocolate cake! Great savoury stuff but better cakes in shops down the road

THis is one of the best bakery's in North Devon Let alone Barnstple! Garaham and his wife who run it work very hard and all the staff are great and the cakes etc. are all rather delicious.. if you are on a diet do not venture in here as you will be tempted to buy loads

Since this place has been refurbished it is lovely and the food and cakes on offer are great. They make up the best doorstop sandwhichs you could ever dream of. yet again they get busy at lunch times but the staff work very hard to help you not queue too long!

Unlike the other review i find the staff fine in there... Alot of the time they have been up since 5am baking but the cakes and bread are delicious.. they are always fine when i go in there and give me a smile.. but then i do have the biggest gooeys cakes ever!

I find this place ideal if you are passing by but wouldn't drive there specifically, as there is plenty of choice in town. Parking can be an issue outside, but the staff are very nice and helpful

Live there 
When i worked in Bideford i lived in here.. they do a wide variety of lunches inlcuding delicious pasties. There is always a queue lunchtime so get early or be prepared to wait.. though the staff DO THEIR VERY BEST TO SERVE YOU ASAP
