Mr Gentle! 
If you've ever suffered from 'toothache denial' because you can't bear the thought of opening up and letting a strange pair of hands into your mouth - problem solved.
Been with this dental practice for more than 15 years now and despite being the biggest wus in the world when it comes to visiting the dentist (mine was more like Frankenstein as a kid) have happily opened up for some mega metal work and 2 wisdom tooth extractions (some would say that explains a lot).
Seriously, a very professional and gentle dentist, always happy to explain your treatment, with a very kind dental nurse and great hygienist. They're really good with children - mine have been going since their first teeth appeared, and one's about to embark on braces, and they have no fear at all. Getting an appointment before work's not a problem and being out of the town centre with their own car park there's no hassle there either.
...and finally...don't you hate it when the Dentist asks you a question with their hands in your mouth - do they ever really understand the answer?:-)

Not what it was 
Since being taken over and no longer being an independent its just not the same. Quality and selection have suffered - used to be worth the extra miles but now more likely to settle for a more local garden centre.

Yummy, scrummy big fat tummy!!
Delcious Italian on the Oracle Riverside. Haven't been at lunchtime, but in the evening this place is always buzzing even the early part of the week. Really good selection of Italian food, prices aren't bad and the atmosphere's really good.

Over rated?? 
Nice location over looking the river/canal, nice traditional building, good selection of fish dishes, and reasonably good service. It's a lttle pricey and can't put my finger on it but it just doesn't quite live up to my expactations.

Great find...
Stumbled across Hee's a few years ago, and have never looked back. Food is really good, as is service and atmosphere.
Not the largest of places so I'd recommend booking.

Easy parking
As this Argos is out of town there's plenty of parking and it's free. It's Argos so you know what they've got from thier catalogue - haven't found much to be out of stock at this branch.
Usually quite quiet during the week but you'll have to queue at weekends.

First visited this place in the 1980's when at Uni, it was good then and is still just as good now - great burgers, the best takeaway burgers I've ever had.

Chocoholics heaven...since 1911 I believe!
The bigger of their 2 Reading stores, but can still get very busy on a Saturday or on the run up to Christmas.
They have a good selection, often with gift wrapped versions, which can be very handy if you need a pressie, quick!

Scrummy chocs
The samller of their 2 stores in Reading, but still a great range, including scrummy ice creams.
On a busy Saturday some lines can appear out of stiock on the shelves but do ask they've often got more 'out back' and just haven't ahd time to refill the shelves.
