Fillings surrounded by a bread like substance 
This is a baguette shop. If you like baguettes, I think you should go there. They have plenty of fillings. None of the staff speaks French.

Breakfast
Straight down the line enormous breakfasts, you'll find a mix of students and professionals. Good location plus they do other dishes which are fairly good.

This Buddha is Funky 
FB Has been here for a few years now and is quitely understated. Serves great food and has a good selection of beers, you can happily watch the world go by sat outside when the weather is good. Great vibes.

Star Wars?
A friend of mine who once lived opposite this pub described it as the cantina from Star Wars. Having visited it recently I found that a little harsh. Slapped bang in the middle of Cathays, you'll find a healthy mix of students and regular people, good for watching sport and drinking fine Brains ale.
