Kitch for Christmas 2*

it's not the biggest shop and in the middle of the year it's just full of tat, by and large. At Christmas it's much better but evenso, I think this kind of store is now out of fashion. I think this particualar branch will last longer simply because Eastbourne takes a while to catch up (and I can say that coz i was born in the town!)

Loving Jo and Twiggy 5*

THIS is what a good local radio station should be. It plays great music, lives and loves Nottingham and the multi-award nominated Jo and Twiggy are way better than anything else on the dial (local or national). Whenever I'm in the city I always listen and feel slightly jealous of the people who live there all the time. The city should pay the radio station for doing such a good sales job on the place!!!

Review of Debenhams

30 May 08, 16:50

Very good 3*

There's nothing 'special' about this Debenhams but it does meet expectation and the staff seem to know what they're doing. I got a great jacket from here a few weeks ago. The only thing they could do better is store signage. Sometimes it's hard to work out where you need to go for the items you want.

Review of Currys

Poor service 2*

The service level and product knowledge here is very low indeed. The items aren't even displayed all that attractively which I could excuse if there was an ounce of enthusiasm in any of their staff. There isn't so I now go elsewhere.

Review of Peckers Cade

30 May 08, 16:46

Fab value 4*

I LOVE a big breakfast and Peckers do an amazingly large fry up for a reasonable price. This is a real 'greasy spoon' cafe but the staff are welcoming and the atmosphere friendly. Go on, have a bit of extra sausage!!!

Go Ape! 5*

This is more than an attraction - it's an ape rescue centre and educational resource. The passion the lies behind the place is evident from the moment you get there and this has to be one of the greatest attraction for miles around.

Review of Gunwharf Quays

Great shopping 4*

I've picked up a few bargains here, including a great jacked heavily discounted in the Gap outlet just after Christmas a few years ago. It's not only a pleasant and well priced shopping area, but also a great place to go for a meal and drinks with family and friends... plus with the Spinnaker Tower there too you can spend all day there and not get bored.

Review of The Cumberland

Classy and good for events 4*

I have stayed here, had a christmas party here, and done a one day conference here. Each time the staff were excellent and the setting conducive to a good /productive time. The Art Deco theme is classy and the lotion in the restrooms is pleasantly scented.

Review of Marks & Spencer

It's all about the food 4*

The fashions aren't to my taste here (although my Mum picked up a dress she loves) but the food is soooo amazing. I wish I could afford to do my weekly shop here as the amount of temptation from aisle to aisle is immense. Go wild in the aisles! I did.

Grab a granny? 1*

I have had hellish experiences here. A woman in her 50s fondled my backside, and a woman in her 40s with a perm Kevin Keegan would have been proud of tried to seduce me. As a gay man in his late twenties (at the time this happened) I was traumatised for a prolonged period. Added to this, the decor looks like the 80s threw up in the place. No thanks.
