Amazing beer garden
A smaller pub but has a fun, if a little cruisey, atmosphere. The beer garden is amazing and very popular in the Summer. Bar prices are reasonable too.

Review of The Moon In The Square

Exactly what a Weatherspoons should be
The drinks are very reasonably priced, the service is prompt and the food is of decent although not exceptional standard. It conforms to what you expect from a Weatherspoons and never disappoints. Perfect for mid-month nights out when you don't have too much to spend.

Review of Mono

Drinks and pizza and atmosphere
This is one of my fave Southampton bars. Fabulous cocktails which I could sip on all night (especially on their 2-for-1 nights) and amazingly attractive bar staff to ogle. Best of all the pizzas which taste divine but sadly prevent me from being good looking enough to pull any bar staff (as I've clearly eaten too many). Long may Mono continue to keep me furnished with such splendiforous evenings

Good - service could be better
I love this bar. It's in a great bit of town, right by the water and the ambience is perfect. The service is, sadly, frustratingly slow even at non-peak times but if you are prepared for that disadvantage the rest of your night should be suitably adorable.

Great Sunday lunch
A fun, quirky but funky bar which, aside from a great selection of drinks also does the most amazing Sunday lunches ever. Perfect after a heavy Saturday night out.

Review of 1812

Pricey but classy
When I feel like a cosmopolitan or a rudely named cocktail I shimmy down to 1812 and drink in some of the atmosphere too. It's genuinely fabulous.

Review of Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre

A solid entertainment venue
Exactly what you'd expect of a traditional theatre venue. Good for plays and other stage entertainments and most seats have good views. Refreshment areas could be better but the bar is good.

Review of Odeon Cinema

Great cinema
The largest screen is a real throwback to when the cinema was 'special' rather than being part of a cookie-cutter chain. The nicer seats, although extra, also help stop the 'numb bum' problem.

Review of Flying Coffee Bean

Stand off-ish
I went here with some friends who had a baby buggy. There was no one else in the shop. We spent a fair bit ordering food alongside our drinks. The service wasn't especially friendly, and the buggy was nudged aside with a tut when one of the staff needed to get past. Food was ok, coffee was ok, but I won't be going back as I didn't like the attitude.

Friendly service
These guys know about service and that's so rare these days. I always feel welcome when I go there. The coffee is great too which makes it the perfect place to go for me.
